Author:
singoutloud25Pairing/Character: JunSeung, Yoseob, Dongwoon, Mir, Joon, Hyuna
Rating: R
Summary: The lives of these six young men would now forever be changed. They will become what they once feared and hated. They will become violent, dangerous, aggressive, and one will even become a murderer. They will become feared, hated, strong, and powerful. Some will grow to hate themselves and some will become dead and numb inside. Some will lose hope and some will never dare to dream.
Author's Notes: The point that I hope to convey throughout this story is that true friendship (a bond of love and trust and faith) is so strong that it can withstand anything. That the bond of true friendship (even when you are pulled away from and forced to leave the ones you love) will always remain, even when you feel that all is lost, that bond still remains deep within you.

Chapter 3 Chapter 4
Hyunseung awoke to a hand sliding over his waist and pulling him closer to the bare-chested man who lay behind him. He rested his hand over Junhyung’s and smiled when the other intertwined their fingers. He lay there silently, listening to Junhyung’s soft breathing and enjoying the feeling of Junhyung’s rising and falling chest against his bare back.
Hyunseung let out a soft sigh as he contemplated what to do next with Junhyung. He honestly hadn’t figured sex into his plan, not that he had really had one, but sex honestly hadn’t been in the foremost of his mind when this all started. But the sex had happened, he was fucking ecstatic that it had, he just wasn’t exactly sure what that meant.
He thought back to how, when they had started making love, the two of them had changed. There had been no more anger, no more frustration, no hate. There had just been passion, wanting, needing, love. It had been just like their first time.
And look how that ended
Hyunseung’s brows furrowed as he thought about how they had left each other with out saying a word. How his and, he was sure, Junhyung’s hearts broke as their eyes locked for what they thought would be the last time.
He closed his eyes. He wasn’t going to let that happen again. He was going to do everything that he could, everything that he had to, to make things right, to make things better. He was going to get through to Junhyung, he was going to help him, he was going to love him. He was going to make things right, make things better and not just for Junhyung or himself, but for all of them.
He smiled as a warm pair of lips kissed his neck.
“What are you thinking about?” Junhyung squeezed Hyunseung’s hand.
“How do you know I’m thinking about things?”
Junhyung smiled. “Because of your feet.”
“My feet?”
Junhyung swung his leg over Hyunseung’s and then stretched it out, resting his foot in-between Hyunseung’s feet. “You move or fidget your feet when you’re thinking. You always have.”
“Ah. I didn’t think anyone noticed.”
Junhyung kissed Hyunseung’s shoulder. “I did.”
Hyunseung turned around so they were facing each other. He gently brushed his fingers over Junhyung’s swollen cheek and bruised jaw while Junhyung ran his fingers down Hyunseung’s face, stopping to let his thumb trace Hyunseung’s swollen lip. Junhyung let his thumb rest there for a moment while they looked at one another.
Hyunseung smiled, nipped Junhyung’s thumb, and then connected their lips. The kiss was slow and long. Their hands roamed each others backs while their legs intertwined. As the kiss became deeper, Junhyung rolled them so Hyunseung was lying on top of him. They continued to kiss until they both needed air and when their lips parted Hyunseung lifted his head up to look at Junhyung.
Junhyung smiled and brushed a strand of hair out of Hyunseung’s eyes.
“What are…” He began, but was immediately cut off by an “Oh shit!” from Hyunseung.
“What? What is it?”
Hyunseung sat up and straddled Junhyung. “Is that really the time?” Junhyung turned behind him to see the clock. It read 6:50pm.
“Generally if a clock says a time then that usually indicates that that is indeed the time.”
“Fuck!” Hyunseung rolled off of Junhyung and the bed and began finding his clothes.
Junhyung raised himself up on his elbows and watched Hyunseung hurriedly get dressed.
“Um, what the fuck is going on?”
Hyunseung looked up from tying his shoes. “I have to go meet Kikwang and Jiyoon at the eastern docks and scope out the area.” He stood up and pulled his vest on.
Junhyung quirked an eyebrow. “Why?”
“Because the fool that’s running them is going to try and sneak in a shit load of cocaine.” He pulled his belt on and fastened it. “He thought he was going to get his nephew and ten other men to sell it for a cheaper price than we sell ours. He figured that if he sold it for cheaper the addicts would keep quiet about it.”
“The idiot. How did you guys find out about all of this?”
Hyunseung picked his phone up off of the floor. “His nephew told us.”
Junhyung furrowed his brows. “And does Doojoon trust the kid?”
“It looks like it, although I am supposed to keep an eye on him.” Hyunseung started going through the remains of what used to be the table looking for his keys.
Junhyung didn’t like the sound of that. If Doojoon was having Hyunseung trail the kid it meant that he had some kind of suspicion about what the kid was saying.
Once Hyunseung found his keys he stood up and pocketed them. He looked over at Junhyung and noticed the, what only could be described as, concerned look on his face. He quirked a smile, crawled onto the bed, and straddled Junhyung.
Hyunseung gave Junhyung a quick kiss. “Don’t worry. Doojoon knows what he’s doing.”
Junhyung scoffed and murmured a quick “He better.”
Hyunseung gave him a soft, reassuring smile. “He does.” He then kissed Junhyung again, only this time a little longer. He then quickly got off the bed and headed for the door.
“Hey! Wait!” Junhyung sat all the way up just as Hyunseung turned around.
“What?”
“You know what.”
Hyunseung smiled. “Meet me in room 23 in 6 hours.” And with that he left.
Junhyung lay back down on the bed, one arm covering his eyes while the other rested on his chest. “What the fuck am I doing?”
Finding control and balance. Living. Not falling off of the edge.
He thought about how great it felt to have Hyunseung’s skin on his, their lips touching, and their bodies in sync. He thought about how, when they were fighting, at first he wanted to beat the shit out of Hyunseung, but then something changed. When he had been tackled to the bed, Junhyung had noticed a fire in Hyunseung’s eyes that had reminded him of when they were younger.
Back then Hyunseung’s eyes would become alive while they were fighting. His eyes would fill with a fire that made Junhyung feel alive himself. A fire that would make him want Hyunseung more than he wanted anything else in the world. When he had seen that fire again, Junhyung felt something ignite inside of him. A flame, albeit small, flickered to life inside him. That small flame was enough to make Junhyung control the anger he had felt at first and change it into something else.
Junhyung smiled. And to think none of this would have happened if he hadn’t had Joon and Mir trailing Yoseob.
“Yoseob!” Junhyung sat up. “That little shit!” He got out of bed and headed for the shower. He was going to clean himself up and then he and Yoseob were going to have a talk.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It worked. We’re both fine and alive. Talk more later.
Yoseob reread the text he had just gotten from Hyunseung and sighed in relief. They were both alive. Junhyung hadn’t lost it. The plan was working. Yoseob grinned.
“Why do you have that ridiculous grin on your face?”
Yoseob looked up at Dongwoon. “What grin?” He pocketed his phone.
Dongwoon walked closer to where Yoseob was leaning against the kitchen counter with his back facing the kitchen door. “The grin you just got rid of.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Yoseob smiled innocently while shifting the weight from his left foot to his right.
“And why are you acting so shifty?” Dongwoon stood right in front of Yoseob, his eyes locking with those of the shorter male.
Yoseob took a step back. “I’m not and stop looking at me like that.” He was about to take another step back when the door to the kitchen opened.
“Yoseob!” Mir lunged for the blond, wrapping his arms around him and resting his cheek against Yoseob’s. “You’re alive!”
Yoseob began trying to free his arms. “Of course I’m alive! Now get off!” Mir squeezed tighter.
Dongwoon looked confused. “Why the hell wouldn’t he be alive?”
Just then Joon and Hyuna walked in. Hyuna walked over to the fridge to get a drink while Joon shook his head. “Mir let him go.”
Mir shook his head in protest. “He didn’t kill you!”
“Who the fuck didn’t kill you?!”
Yoseob had managed to free one of his hands and was using it to separate Mir’s face from his. “Of course he didn’t kill me!” He freed his other hand and was successfully keeping Mir’s face away from his, but Mir’s arms still held their tight grip around Yoseob’s waist. “Let go!”
“What the fuck is going…” Dongwoon was cut off by the front door being slammed shut.
“ YOSEOB!” Junhyung’s anger was very evident in his yell.
Everyone in the kitchen shuddered. Mir let go of Yoseob and moved next to Joon, grabbing on to the back of Joon’s shirt. Hyuna moved to stand next to Dongwoon and Yoseob turned around to look at the kitchen door, his hands clenched in fists behind his back. He had forgotten that he was going to have to do some explaining to Junhyung.
Junhyung swung the kitchen door open, spotted Yoseob and glared. He took a few steps and stopped. “Come here.”
Yoseob inwardly cringed at the anger in Junhyung’s voice, but he made no sign of moving.
Junhyung glared more. “Now.”
Yoseob still wasn’t showing any signs of movement so Hyuna gave him a little enough shove that Junhyung was able to grab him by the arm and drag him out of the kitchen.
“What the fuck is going on?” Dongwoon turned his attention to Mir.
Joon put his arm around Mir’s shoulder while shrugging his own. “How should we know?”
“I wasn’t asking you, I was asking Mir.” Dongwoon stood in front of Mir; giving him the same look he had been giving Yoseob a few moments ago. “Well?”
Mir squeezed Joon’s shirt tighter. “I don’t know?” It was more of a question than an answer.
Joon sighed. “Look Woon, we really domph” His words were cut off by Dongwoon’s hand palming his face.
Mir shrunk back as Dongwoon got closer. “Tell me now.”
Hyuna rolled her eyes and walked out of the kitchen just as the three men tackled each other to the floor. “Morons.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yoseob was pulled into Junhyung’s room, the latter closing and locking the door behind them. Junhyung let go of Yoseob and walked over to his desk, his back facing Yoseob.
“Start talking.”
“About what?”
“Hyunseung.”
“What do you want to know?”
Junhyung turned around. “Everything.” He sat down on the edge of his desk. “When did you two start being friends again?”
Yoseob sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed. “We never stopped being friends. Not when the split happened and not when you and Doojoon took over. We’ve always stayed close.”
Junhyung crossed his arms. “How…when?”
“How…when what?”
“How or when did you two become so close?”
“We were all close.” It was whispered.
Junhyung sighed. “I know Seob, but the closeness you and Hyunseung have is different, is deeper. Otherwise you wouldn’t have gone behind everybody’s backs and taken the risks that you have. Something must have happened to make your relationship as strong as it is, otherwise neither of you would have taken the risks that you have.”
Yoseob rested his elbows on his knees and ran his hands through his hair. “I…”
“Yoseob, I’m asking you, as your friend, not to lie to me anymore and to trust me. I know everyone thinks that I’ve lost it completely, but I haven’t. I didn’t kill Hyunseung. We hardly even fought. Hell, I’m even going to meet up with him later.”
Yoseob looked up. “Really?”
Junhyung gave a small smile. “Really. Now tell me.”
Yoseob sighed and looked at his hands. “Do you remember, when we were 15, Hyunseung wasn’t at school for a whole week? He didn’t call any of us and no one knew where he was or if he was ok.”
Junhyung nodded his head. “Yeah I remember. We had all gone crazy with worry. We searched for him everywhere. Even his dad had no idea where he was. And then he showed up at school looking like he had been recovering from being hit by a bus.”
“Do you remember what he said had happened?”
“He said he had been jumped by a group of guys and he was ashamed that he wasn’t able to defend himself. He said he had been hiding out at a hotel. Doojoon and I were so fucking pissed. We tried several times to get him to tell us who it was, but he would always brush us off.” Junhyung furrowed his brows. “Why are you asking about all of this?”
Yoseob cleared his throat. “Because it was all a lie. None of that ever happened. He had actually been hiding out at my house. He did have the shit kicked out of him, but not by some random group of guys.”
Junhyung glared. “Then who the fuck did it?”
“His father…and your father.”
“What?!”
“Hyunseung was supposed to pick up a package from your dads office in the morning, but he had forgotten to so he was going to pick it up after school and I had offered to go with him. We didn’t think going to the office in the afternoon would be such a big deal. Hyunseung had said the package was important and that it needed to be delivered that day. But we were…” Yoseob’s voice cracked. He cleared his throat a couple of times before continuing. “But we were wrong Junhyung. So wrong.”
"So who does the package have to be delivered to?"
Hyunseung and Yoseob walked into the giant warehouse where their fathers' offices were. They headed up the stairs to Hyunseung's dads office.
“To the chief of police. Apparently his son pissed off Mr. Yong and whatever is in the package is a warning or something like that.” Hyunseung opened the door to the office and the two boys walked over to the desk. He opened the bottom drawer and immediately wished he hadn’t.
Both boys looked on in disgust as dark red liquid stained the large envelope Hyunseung was supposed to deliver.
Yoseob swallowed. “Is that what I think it is?”
“I fucking hate this shit.” Hyunseung took off his uniform blazer, carefully picked up the blood-soaked package, and wrapped it in the blazer. “Come on Seob, lets go.”
Just as the boys headed for the door, a loud scream was heard coming from outside. The two of them froze. The screams became louder as footsteps were heard coming up the stairs.
“Shit.” Yoseob grabbed onto Hyunseung’s arm.
“Fuck. We have to hide.” Hyunseung grabbed Yoseob’s hand and pulled him towards the closet. Just as he closed the closet door, the door the office burst open.
Yong Jiyeong walked in first followed by Jang Seungho, who was dragging a young woman behind him. Jiyeong shoved everything off of Seungho’s desk and then removed his jacket. He then walked over to the girl, smiled sickeningly sweet, and then ran his fingers down the side of her face. The girl flinched and tried to back away, but Seungho grabbed her by the hair and forced her to stay still.
“Now Miss Lee, I am sorry that this has to happen, but your brother went behind my back and stole from me.” Jiyeong’s fingers were now tracing down her neck. “And nobody steals from me without having to pay the price.” His fingers curled around the back of her neck. “And what better way to make someone pay then to steal the virginity of their baby sister.” The girl tried to scream, but was cut off by Jiyeong’s mouth covering hers.
Hyunseung watched, through the crack in the closet door, in horror at what was taking place. He had one of his hands covering his mouth while the other covered Yoseob’s. The blond was shaking and Hyunseung could feel Yoseob’s hot tears falling onto his hand. Hyunseung was becoming increasingly restless. He knew that there was no way he and Yoseob were going to stay in this closet while the two bastards outside committed one of the most heinous crimes. He just prayed that Yoseob and the girl would get out of here alive.
Just then Jiyeong yelped in pain and pulled away from the girl. He ran his thumb across his lower lip and when he pulled it away blood dripped from his finger.
“You bitch.” Jiyeong punched the girl in the face, sending her backwards. Seungho grabbed her by the hair again, kissed her on her bleeding mouth, and then threw her onto the desk.
The girl kicked and screamed as Jiyeong forced himself between her legs, pinning her hands behind her head. He began kissing her neck and then moving lower, her screams became louder and Seungho began to laugh.
That was when Hyunseung snapped. “When I tell you to run Yoseob, you fucking run.”
Hyunseung opened the closet door and charged his dad. His head made contact with Seungho’s lower back and the two men went flying into Jiyeong and the girl. Hyunseung pushed with all of his might until the three of them were toppled onto the floor and the girl could get away.
“Run! Get out of here!”
The girl climbed off of the desk and ran out of the office, not once looking back.
Yoseob stepped out of the closet just in time to see Hyunseung get elbowed in the stomach. And, before either of them could do anything, Seungho grabbed Hyunseung by the throat and threw him across the room, right into Yoseob. The two boys landed in a heap on the floor.
“Hyunseung you fucking piece of shit for a son!”
Before Seungho could get to his son, Hyunseung was standing up, dragging Yoseob with him. The two boys backed up until they were against the wall.
Jiyeong stood next to Seungho. “Your son and Yang are going to pay severely for this.” His voice was low and deadly.
Hyunseung panicked. There was no way he was going to be able to get Yoseob out of here. They were both going to get beat within and inch of their life. He knew he had to do something. He couldn’t, wouldn’t let that happen to Yoseob. If he survived he would make it up to Yoseob for what he was about to do.
“I’m so sorry Yoseob. I hope you can forgive me.” Yoseob looked confused for a second before Hyunseung’s fist made hard enough contact with his face that it knocked him out.
Yoseob’s body fell to the floor and Hyunseung turned around to face the two men in front of him. “Now you only have one of us to deal with.”
The two men laughed.
“You really are a fucking fool of a son. All that did was make things for you worse. Your beating will be even more so now.”
Hyunseung stood as tall and as straight as he could. “Better me than him you sick spineless fucking bastards.”
The first punch came from Seungho, his fist meeting Hyunseung’s nose, breaking it instantly. Hyunseung staggered backwards into the wall, his mouth overcome with the taste of blood. He didn’t stand still long though, instead he charged his father, hitting the older man in the gut. As Seungho staggered backwards, Hyunseung stood up and punched him in the face. Just as he was about to throw another punch, a pair of hands circled around his throat.
Jiyeong forced Hyunseung to look at him. “You fucking fool. Do you actually think you can beat us?”
Hyunseung smirked and spit a mouthful of blood at Jiyeong’s face. Jiyeong didn’t hesitate. He kneed Hyunseung in the gut and forced him to stand, his fingers tightening around Hyunseung’s throat.
“You will regret everything you have done today.” Jiyeong squeezed tighter.
Hyunseung began struggling for air and his vision was becoming blurry. He made one final attempt to fight back and when his foot made contact with Jiyeong’s dick he felt a fleeting moment of satisfaction when his throat was released and Jiyeong doubled over in pain.
Hyunseung fell to the ground and before he could gasp for enough air he was kicked in the gut. He fell onto his side and was met with a kick to his face. The blows continued to come, kick after kick, hit after hit.
Before another blow was delivered to his face, Hyunseung, on his stomach, face and hands bloody, looked over at Yoseob, whose eyes were open in horror and his mouth covered by his own hands. He gave a small smile. He then closed his eyes, felt the tears fall, and lost consciousness with the next blow.
“They were so caught up in beating him that they never noticed that I had woken up.” Yoseob’s voice was quiet, haunted. “They each hit him a few more times before they realized he was unconscious. Then they grabbed their jackets and left, talking about what they wanted to eat as they headed out the door.” Yoseob looked up at Junhyung, his face filled with hate. “Hyunseung was almost dead on their floor and all they cared about was what they wanted to eat!”
Junhyung had never been happier to know that their fathers were dead than he did right now. The mental images of an almost dead Hyunseung, by the hands of their fathers, made him livid and physically ill at the same time.
“I didn’t even get up to try and stop them.”
Junhyung looked at Yoseob. “He wouldn’t have wanted you to. He hit you for a reason and it would have pissed him off had you tried to help and ended up getting the shit kicked out of you anyway.”
Yoseob smiled. “He said the same thing to me a few days later while he was recuperating in my room and I wouldn’t stop apologizing.”
“Why didn’t you guys tell us?”
Yoseob stood up. “What would you have done? What could you have done?” He sat next to Junhyung on the desk. “There was nothing that could have been done. He didn’t want you to freak out because it was your dad. He didn’t want you to do something stupid, which is exactly what you would have done. He didn’t want you to get hurt because of him.”
“He was always like that. Always having to save everyone. Never wanting to be a problem to anyone.”
“He saved my life that day Junhyung. I wouldn’t have survived that beating. I was never as strong as the rest of you.”
“I know.”
“We became even closer that week while he hid out at my house. At the end of that week we swore to each other that we would always look out for each other. That no matter what happened we would never stop being friends.” Yoseob stood up and faced Junhyung. “We also swore that we would look out for the rest of you. That we would do whatever we had to, to make sure that none of us turned into our fathers.”
Junhyung’s eyes narrowed. “Yoseob.”
Yoseob ignored the warning in Junhyung’s tone. “Hyunseung is back in your life for a reason Junhyung. Don’t be an idiot and fight the feelings that are inside of you trying to get out.” He turned around and walked towards the door. He paused for a moment before facing Junhyung again. “Listen to your heart Junhyung. You do have one, not matter what you may think. It’s there, waiting for you to pay attention. And listen to Hyunseung, because he’s going to be the one to make you see that you aren’t as lost as you may think you are.”
