Talk about eventful. Thursday I apparently left my car running, unlocked, while I went to painting class. Yet while I was in said three-hour class, Chuck professed his love for my portrait (keep in mind, he has painted numerous things for NASA and the US Senate) and told me to clean up early because I was "done." Later the security guard, while I was retrieving my keys, asked me why I decided to leave my car running while I went to class. You know, sometimes I just feel like it. Doesn't everyone occasionally consider promoting car theft ?

As 60+ mile-an-hour winds ripped through the area on Saturday, three trees -- at least two hundred years old each -- within two blocks of our home came crashing down. Luckily no one was hurt, except for our electricity. Thirty-six hours without power, including heat, was what my weekend consisted of. Though drinking with my mother is enjoyable, especially over a game of Scrabble, it wasn't when you singed your hands on candles while reaching for more tiles. Nor was it when the inside temperature reached fifty degrees, and despite the fact you had three pairs of socks on, your toes still tingled.

Oh and ? I had a dream I wasn't accepted into the Rome program last night, and today I receive an e-mail from Temple with the greeting: "Dear Temple Rome Student," and that I should "go to the following website for information on receiving your visa." Apparently my acceptance letter is in the mail.

Spring break is currently in session, and we'll see what that brings.
