Best description of the Sistine Chapel
My 17 year old son has a wicked sense of humor. He was helping his girlfriend with her AP Western Civ summer project, part of which is dealing with homosexuality during the Renaissance. He said that Michelangelo had to be gay because David was nude and the Sistine Chapel was "two naked guys on clouds holding hands"!
I am an art history major and I NEVER heard that theory before. I laughed so hard I almost wet myself! They were both very surprised when I chimed in that yes Michelanglo was rumored to have been gay; my son had no idea, he was only joking.
I may never look at the Sistine Chapel the same way.
