A little better...

So, I went and picked up Xander's pills this morning, still freaking out about the cost, and knowing that our health spending account is now totally wiped out, but at least he can get started on his new meds. I called and finished my application to medicaid this morning, only have to submit some paperwork and hopefully we will be approved. Getting ready to call NAMI, and hopefully get some guidance through this process. Unfortunately, I got a phone call from our favorite receptionist at the doctor's office, and she let me know that our insurance is not going to cover the visit to their therapist yesterday because we have only met $2000 of our $3000 deductible, and that even if we get approved for medicaid, we will stay have to pay for that appt. out of pocket because although she is the psychiatrist our insurance approved, medicaid will only pay for mental health services at valley mental health, which is the place I can't go to until we are approved. Also extreme frustration because my father in law got mad at my husband that we don't have more money saved on our HSA even though my husband and I both have chronic health problems, and have frequent doctor's visits, as well as lots of prescriptions, and every time my husband needs a refill his doctor's office charges to write it (since he is on a seriously controlled substance he must have a written prescription every month). Seriously, I don't know what to do, I feel like we are being pushed and pulled and are drowning financially.

Thank you to everyone who has given me hugs, it really helps, makes me feel better. Also, thanks to devils_sidekick for the wonderful waffles! Thank you so much!
