Late update is late :)
Sorry this is so late, meant to do this earlier, but emotionally I'm just so drained and tired that I've just kind of stayed off the computer for awhile.
First, some thank yous! hpfangirl71, Thank you so much for the v-gift, it really made me smile. Also, all the wonderful people who gave me gift tags at Hogsmeade. I had a big list of names, all ready to post and say thank you, but while I was spending the night in the hospital with Dan my laptop turned itself on and ran out of juice and basically did a hard shut down. So, I lost everything that wasn't saved :-/ I'm too lazy to go back through so THANK YOU ALL!! Once again, if I missed giving you a tag, I'm really sorry, I didn't get a list together in time, so I know I missed some.
Now, my kindle. Thanks to a very generous gift from a very good friend :) I wound up calling Amazon again to order my replacement. Unfortunately they couldn't use what I had to order the replacement, but the guy felt so bad that he went around the rules and got me an exception and a free replacement. So, YAY RANDOM AMAZON CALL CENTER WORKER!! Seriously, I about cried, granted, everything is making me cry right now, my emotions are all over the place right now, but still. I was so happy.
So, Thursday we went back to the ER for Dan on the advice from the Neuro people. After 8 hours there they finally found some signs of infection that was causing his stomach issues at least. So, they admitted him to run more labs, and we were hopeful, but it seems like maybe it's a separate issue from the neuro stuff. I did talk to the doctor though about what we should be doing next and what happens if the next test (sleep deprived EEG) comes back clean. He said at that point we would look at Neuro-Psych. He is feeling better today though, although he can't remember Thursday other than snippets of time, and keeps confusing today and yesterday. The doctor said it could be his morphine prescription causing the problems, but the timeline doesn't add up. He started them May 12, (my bday) and his symptoms started June 5th, and started getting worse on June 7th, but the doctor didn't up his dose until June 9th. So who knows, we'll just keep going and hopefully it just gets better on it's own, or we find something that can be fixed. I'm not so worried anymore though now that the tests have been coming back clean, and we have a direction to look in. Also, we got approved for Medicaid to cover all of his costs for a spend down of $3.15/mo. We got the card today, and it evidently includes me as well, which is great since some of my meds are so high I have to get samples from the doc.
Well, I'm off to bed, I'm so tired, and I have so much to do tomorrow!
