I thought I should make a happy post
I finally met fantom07 in person last night. We were both dining at Brick, and she emerged from the bathroom while I was waiting. "Barry?" "Margaret?" What a sweet gal! It was totally one of those "San Francisco is the biggest small town" moments.
Also, here are a bunch of pug photos. These were taken a week ago at my sister's during my last couple hours in Ohio. I used the 50mm f/1.4 lens I recently purchased for my Nikon D40. Excellent shallow depth of field effects (the background blurriness) as you can see, but lord, does that lens let in a lot of light. So much that in broad daylight, a shutter speed of 1/4000th of a second wasn't fast enough. I had to stop up to f/2.8 for some of the shots.
