Tiger!

Holding out for Snow Leopard, or did Leopard just not offer you enough incentive to upgrade?

I use a version of Photoshop that Apple and Adobe didn't seem interested in supporting in Leopard. Put a bad taste in my mouth.

It was a complete rewrite of the os and yet they didn't name it 11. I almost upgraded and would have lost the use of a piece of software I love.

Because of this I have also not upgraded my final cut studio either. I suspect that I will lose this fight this year. Because my equipment is 2004/5. And will probably self-destruct.

None of my Macs are Intel either. Time went by so damn fast. I didn't realize I'd become obsolete. Funny, huh?

Yeah, all signs are pointing to Apple discontinuing PowerPC support in Snow Leopard. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they also excluded the first Intel models because the Core Duo isn't a 64-bit chip.

With Open CL and Grand Central supposedly making the most of a given computer's processor and video card, they're going to want to showcase those capabilities with a power-hungry program that can take advantage of them, so I bet you we see a new version of Final Cut within a year. Imagine video encoding that's 40-100 times faster.

well, I change the pic constantly and just pick out a Windows background color to go with it if it's a smaller pic. It just happens to be the one I have right now. It's a shame though because I NEVER see my desktop. I always have a monitor up that tells me if anyone is on the phone and I hardly ever need to minimize that. So, I don't put much effort into my desktop. the end. But thanks for liking it!

Clean and pleasing to the eye - I like it! Although, that much white would probably blind me on my 24" screen, whose brightness can't be turned down very far.

It is a lot of white, and I do have it on my 24" at work. I wasn't sure about it at first, but now I really likey. ;)

Mr. Linux Man! How's that workin' out for 'ya?

And what is your wallpaper? Looks like either a shot of Mars' surface or your garage floor.
