The Stubble Project
"Overwhelming Flash" and "Heavy Blur Plus Noise" are my camera's two modes, and you have to pick one or the other unless you're shooting in bright sunlight. So, sorry about the suck quality.
I'm experimenting with stubble. I have about eight days of beard growth in these shots, which I took this morning. I shaved my neck clean but left the sides and chin intact. Very curious what I'll look like in a week or so, because I rarely go longer than a week without shaving, and I always shave the entire beard. I've never gone two weeks.
My beard is a crappy beard. It's thin, there are several bald spots, and many hairs have no pigment. It's really scruffy right now and could very well look awful in a week. Or it could be super hot. We'll see.
