Does anyone still use this thing?
Have most people abandoned it as I have?
Outgrown it, perhaps?
Do we have better things to do in our lives?
Are we all neglecting the importance of journaling or writing in any form?
If so, are we aware of this neglect?
Is looking back on the things one wrote high school as excruciatingly embarrassing for you as it is for me?
Are the things I have to say at present more relevant, important, insightful, and worthy of public readership than the things I wrote then?
Have I changed significantly in the past three or so years?
Should I be disturbed that upon starting this entry, I was prompted with the question of whether I wanted to revert to a saved draft, and to my pleasant surprise I discovered that I indeed had an unfinished post from a couple years ago that summed up the sundry happenings of my Minnesotan summer, from working a babysitting job from hell to frolicking with wild abandon in Duluth to canoeing in the boundary waters of Canada to coming out to Dad and Mary Ellen after a couple very awkward straight-dates with a sweet local girl whose house could have easily been destroyed by the tornado that swept through Hugo,
and that all of this was written with an eloquence and humor that I had almost completely forgotten I'd had,
and that LiveJournal didn't give me the option of saving the draft again so it was all unintentionally lost when I decided to start the present entry?
Should I just let that go?
Is it high time that I brought writing back into my life, and attempted to journal with some regularity?
~~~~~~~
I've already answered that last question for myself:
Yes. I finally deduced that writing is what's been missing from my life, and even if I can't churn up anything worth a barrel of butterscotch, it's damn therapeutic.
- - - BUT THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS REMAIN - - -
More honestly now, is there ANYONE out there reading this and still interested in the general world of blogging?
Do I start a new blog here on LiveJournal or look on to greener pastures?
- Will I have the same community I once loved having on LJ if I move on to other websites such as Blogger?
- Do I even have a community any more?
Is ANYBODY out there?
Are there any suggestions for a new username when I emerge from my cyber-chrysalis?
Has this been an overwhelming amount of questions, or do you like what I'm doing to you?
Should I do it some more?
