Poll Dying alone, eaten by dogs

I find myself becoming firmly footed in the "Yes" category, but that doesn't seem the case with most of my friends. Not even on my behalf.

"Oh, you just need to meet the right guy. When The One [which I, incidentally, don't believe in] comes along, you'll want to be with him." Well, okay, if someone comes along with whom I click so greatly (because, inverse to what seems to be the mass assumption, I'm becoming pickier as I get older) that I want to make a go of a relationship, I won't fight it.

But if someone like that doesn't come along, I am perfectly alright with that. That's not a sad thing! I think it's healthy. "Oh, but you have so much love to give!" Yes, and I can give that to you, my friends, and my family. Why is it that others want so badly for me to have a relationship?

Ah, the perplexing world of the single...
