You know, I think I should tell you about an email I got on a dating site about a week ago.

It was like he's read the profile and wanted to show me how many of the boxes he ticked, almost literally. But it gave me no indication of what he was like at all. No warmth or personality.

I just didn't know how to reply without being a tad bitchy, so I didn't.

It's probably best that you didn't reply. All you really know is that he can (presumably) read, and while basic literacy is a good quality, there's probably more to a good relationship.

I'm sure I posted something along the same lines here a long time ago... something about profiles that say 'I live life to the full' and that kind of bland rubbish.

But yeah -- send out the invite!
