I find that I am in the same situation, and have no doubt I am taking the path that you are taking. And, like you, I have thought over what you have just written about. I appreciate you having the strenth to post this and show the negatives as well as the positives of having this child. And letting me know, that, I was not totally off, when, six years later THERE ARE still single moms who have not married and reconize their child as theirs, and not any man's that just walks in. My son is six years old and I am still single. The father is a waste of humanity with at least 13 other kids. But I went to college, got a degree, and am doing fine. Yes, it would be easier if I had a man to love and respect me and my child, I am not holding me breath. I don't introduce my child to the men i date for a long time, if ever. My son is my one and only and I am content, maybe not thrilled, but at least content that my child is loved and wanted.
