many reasons to be look forward eagerly...
Things that I am excited about:
1) The fact that I am wearing a skirt and barefoot and NOT AT ALL COLD. Spring is so close! I adore spring!
2) The fact that I think I did well on my SLRPE and therefore really might have Spain on the horizon! When I left to take the test I was nervous and then a flock of ravens alighted in a nearby tree, and somehow all their screaming and flapping gave me an illogical courage to do my best. It was so sunny, so pleasant in the lab. I look forward to spending more time in that building.
3) The fact that I will be spending this afternoon ducking in and out of the sunlight in the company of carefree friends. We're going shopping... and I was just told I'm allowed to charge a few things in light of an excellent quarter. *beams* Any suggestions for what you want to see me wearin'?
4) The fact that I appear to have academically owned WI07 despite all the extenuating circumstances. Fuck you, Life. I killed your ass.
5) The fact that I will be back in business school next quarter, which I'm startled to admit I've really been missing. I love the atmosphere there, that sense of accomplishment and challenge and "going places," that professionality and sharp logic, the beautiful campus and occasional familiar faces.
6) The fact that I am no longer intimidated by Finance, which means I will perform better. I also just made the connection that Fred will actually be able to and willing to help me if I struggle. Tutoring and sex... hee, I like it. ;)
7) The fact that I have created a gorgeous, cognitively demanding schedule for next quarter that involves not only business math but also science, politics, art, design, and communications. I might die, but at least I will die in a state of intellectual happiness. I have never been this pumped about a quarter EVER! I'm gonna learn all about Antarctica and take my first Strategic Communications class. <3
8) The fact that the warm weather will provide me with the perfect excuse to study outside on the roof, the screen porch, and of course all over campus.
9) The fact that the warm weather will also lead to gardening, which I love and miss. I can't wait to get my hands dirty surrounding myself with fragrant plants... I just can't go overboard because gods willing I'll be leaving for Spain in June.
10) The fact that sooner than we know it it will be time for cook-outs, spontaneous romps in the park, weekend runs to Highbanks, and other delightful adventures.
11) The fact that I've discovered Jing-Jing likes running, and not only that, she plans to run in various 3/5K's. I would really love it if I could train some and run with her, and it would absolutely make my year if we could be in a race together. Of course, I'm going to go crazy waiting for my lungs to heal, but I just got the idea that singing in the steamy shower is an excellent way to train them back into shape without over-exerting myself or exposing them to cold dirty air. La!
12) The fact that I'm going to the zoo with Ayaka (and Weifers?) soon.
13) The fact that I have decided to either A) rejoice in being unemployed because it allows me to juggly me ridiculous schedule, or B) pick up a small on-campus job tutoring or being a career coach, both of which I would enjoy and could happily post on a resume.
14) The fact that upon mentioning the LSAT, I received overwhelming support and encouragement from everybody. My dad even offered to buy me a trainign CD and practice books! The LSAT certainly can't hurt anything, so why not open that attractive door?
15) The fact that next quarter I will be joining the Mountaineers again. I really, really miss that friend group, even if I don't see them often. I promise to take it easy with climbing at first, but I'd love to take some trips with them or at least just hang out at Vic's after the meetings.
16) The fact that Cait has dangled a very, very alluring temptation in front of me, one that will eliminate time for several things mentioned above, but one that could be life-changingly awesome. We shall see...
17) The fact that I'm done with antibiotics in one day and the mandatory use of my other medications in exactly one week.
18) The fact that spring break has just begun for me.
19) The fact that Jim and Cox'll be back this summer. I'll be gone, but if they're still around when I come back, we'll have tons of fun.
20) The fact that B'll be living up here come September!
21) The fact that I can do excessive, luxurious quantities of laundry at home at no cost to me if I just wait to take them home in a few days.
