1. Where were you when it turned 2006?
In a basement in West Chester, my expression completely disgruntled after being unexpectedly kissed by a bushy-beared stranger.
2. How did you get the idea for your blog name?
A dream, a whim, and me just searching for something to fit my personality.
3. What song are you listening to right now?
"The Dreaming Tree" by Dave Matthews.
"Daddy come quick! The dreaming tree has died. I can't find my way home; there is no place to hide. The dreaming tree has died..."
5. What color underwear are you wearing?
Magenta.
6. Do you own an iPod?
I WOULD if OIT would ever freaking GIVE it to me!!!
7. What did you do this morning?
Watched it snow and made a wish.
8. What does your dad do for a living?
VP of Risk Management for General Cable (they make wires.)
9. What will you do tonight?
Homework and either go running or climbing if I can build my energy back up. Then shower and more homework for as long as I can stand it.
10. What's your favorite memory from last weekend?
My dad showing a flash of understanding of who I am and buying me a big suet-and-birdseed cake to put on my roof for the birds.
12. What was the last thing you ate?
The same sort of dinner I usually eat; wheat pasta full of fresh veggies (tonight it was onions, mushrooms, and broccoli) and a scrambled egg for protein. Also apple cider, and probably some dark chocolate for desert. Yummmm. :)
14. What was the last movie you watched?
Gladiator with my housemates. "The chickens... oh thank god."
15. What do you dislike at the moment?
My mental state. QUIT BEING AN STRESSED OBSESSED AND WORRIED, BANANA!!!
16. What food do you crave right now?
What am I, pregnant? I don't crave food. Except milkshakes sometimes. And bananas. I mean... *deliberately awkward silence*
18. What was the last TV show you watched?
Dunno. My housemates rounded the family up for Gray's Anatomy a couple weeks ago, though, and so I guess I watched that. It was a big event. I even have photos. o.o
19. What is your favorite piece of jewelry?
(smiles)
25. What color shirt are you wearing?
Green. It's my favourite colour of green, a really rich Earthy green. Brand new sweater, come on over and see it... ;)
30. Who's someone you haven't seen in a while and miss?
Ashley Barwick, my brother Rob, Cox and Jim, Arn, Mike to an extent.
31. What did you do last night?
Engaged in what has to be the shadiest transaction at a gas station I have ever engaged in. It was amazing. Maybe I'll write a separate entry about it, or maybe not in case the cops come looking.
Let's just say it made for great stories later, which I told over coffee to Michaela before packing in homework past 4am.
32. Do you care what people think about you?
Not really. I care what the gods think of me, though, and that desire to be virtuous and warm and welcoming carries over into daily life.
33. Have you ever done something to instigate trouble?
... Me?
34. When was the last time you worked out?
Dunno, last week sometime. Plan on doing so again tonight.
38. Mobile phone network?
Verizon.
41. What is the thing that you would most like to change about yourself?
I'd like to be whole. I still feel broken in pieces.
43. What do you smell like right now?
I don't know. But if you're one of those people that always asks me if its my shampoo that smells so good, know I use a lot of fragrances. Ain't on purpose -- girl stuff is just made that way. My shampoo smells like almonds and cherries, my conditioner is some exotic mix of "tropical botanicals", my bodywash is pomegranate mango (!!!) and the fragrance I like to use is I think a mixture of clean citrus, brown sugar, and "white flowers." My mommy insists that even without all that I smell like sunlight... :) Aw.
44. What is your favorite color?
RIch orange. I pretty much like all intensely vibrant colours, though; think fresh blood red, deepsky blue, cerulean and teal, yellow-gold and rust, brilliant verdant green, pure white and jet black... the list goes on and on. Generally I like earthy autumnal colours, but the most important aspect is vibrancy. I cannot stand pastels.
46. What do you tell yourself when times get hard?
I listen to music. Usually, the genre of music I pick either assuages or amplifies my mood. For better or for worse, I tend to listen to mellower music when I'm down, my favourites being Iron & Wine, Dido, selected Jack Johnson, even some of the sadder Buffett (ie, "Pacing the Cage.")
54. What celebrities have you been compared to?
I don't know. Several, but I do not know celebrity names. In high school when I was big on journalism and wore funky clothes some people told me that I reminded them of Chloe Sullivan from Smallville, but as I had never seen it I did not know enough to be OFFENDED.
56. Does it annoy you when someone says they'll call but don't?
Not really. People rarely tell me they'll call, and if they do say it but don't call, it's usually because they have some reason. I do get curious, though, when people do not respond to a voicemail for many hours.
60. If you were born the opposite sex, what would your name be?
Anthony. My parents thought I was going to be a boy right up until I was actually born, and Anthony was the name they had selected for me.
