deep cleaning
Really boring post, but yea this is my life.
I had the house pretty clean for the holidays. You never know who might drop in at a moments notice, and if you don't get things clean and organized, there is no room for a tree. This week though I have worked on deep cleaning. After I got the Christmas stuff put away I started on the kitchen. Every counter, appliance, inside of drawers, etc was wiped done and scrubbed if needed. Yesterday I spent three hours detoxifying the fridge. First is the removal of any scary christmas leftovers that got stuffed behind the cool whip. Then you discover that the kids knocked over the caramel ice cream topping and nearly everything from top to bottom is glued to the shelf with brown goo. I removed and wiped down everything in the fridge and took out the screwdriver to remove the shelf brackets. When putting it back together I rearranged the shelves a little and it is so much better organized. Even hubby was impressed and asked if I took a picture ;)
Today is more laundry and probably dusting, vacuuming, etc.
The weather finally warmed up to 28 degrees. Apparently this caused more trouble than it helped, since buses were late and vehicles were sliding off the road due to ice. I had plans to have lunch with a friend, but we canceled. Hopefully we can reschedule some time next week.
I borrowed several movies from a friend. I watched the new Alice in Wonderland and it was a bit different than what I expected. I plan to watch "Percy and the Lightening Thief" and "Where the Wild Things are" this weekend.
