a REAL update!

Ohhhhhh Kaine won for VA Governor. I am so happy. We had some people over to celebrate Election Day, which meant cracking open/finishing up one of the 30-can-cases of Miller Lite we have sitting in the fridge, and just relaxing in front of the TV. It was a chill night. Minus some teasing at me and from me towards the roomies. I hope they know I'm never serious, it's hard to reintroduce my sarcasm to them. They don't pick up on it like my Chathamites and Maconites did. ::huffs::

I miss my Chathamites and Maconites.

Speaking of R-MC, I decided to not re-apply for Macon for J-term. I'm still not 100% settled with not re-applying, ever, again. I mean, I love it. That place is like home to me. I can count on my fingers how many people dislike me/give me odd looks. Plus, most would be graduating this year, anyway. I don't know. I just want to continue my education. And I have a mostly-definite admission there if I ever wanted it. That's all that matters to me anyway. Or at least it is the bottom line in the matter, not the students. The faculty, familiarity, size, location, that is what matters. However, I'm also looking at Elon, McDaniel, Frostburg, and a couple other schools, or just going from CCBC to UBaltimore. That's an opp. as well.

My brother and I on his relationship with his GF:
Wwj3697: your meeting her has taught me to not give up, just so you know
Jajones5: awesome!
Jajones5: good attitude

...it's true, it has taught me to not give up. The pic of him with her is my background. It's funny to think I miss my brother, when we haven't been close, but... I really really miss him right now. I feel so cut off from my family. Like I'm not even a part of it anymore. I don't know, is that wrong? Is it my fault? Lexington still doesn't feel like home to me, though. Camp does. Macon does. Anyplace with a coast does. B'more does. But not here. And not in Lex Vegas, either.

I live in the area where this is normal? GOOD LORD. Story one and it's follow-up.

Does anyone read Dilbert? And Get Fuzzy? Both have been hilarious lately, Dilbert going so far as making my morning, on some days... My fave Dilbert so far this week. My fave Get Fuzzy this week.

We had our first official party here at the casa on Saturday and it was hilarious, to say the least. We had invited about 20 people and only 8 or so showed up, but this was AFTER RSVP-ing yes, so we had about 180 beers and only 6 beer-drinkers for them. Ah, yes, mucho 'left-overs' of Miller Lite. So as it stands now, we have two cases still resting in our fridge. Like I said that the top of the entry, we had a third case, but while celebrating Election Day, we finished it off. 50 or so beers to go....

This is why Princess Diana was all about educating these poor people.

Work is awesome. I greatly enjoy selling lingerie. I do it well, and I like it! Woot! I make 9 bucks an hour, plus commission. and it's Nordstrom so I get to dress well and listen to good music too (Target doesn't play music so they can go to hell). In our department we aren't aggressive, so we aren't competing for customers, since, well, we have plenty of them to go around. A woman came in yesterday, however, and went through two salespeople before settling with me, and the only way I made her happy was by just letting her make up her size, when the two salespeople before her told her her size was, "Blank" and she said "No, it's blank." So, that was interesting, to say the least! And even though she tried on... no joke, 50 bras... she ended up with two of them, which were each 50 bucks and some panties. So that made me happy (that she at least spent 170 on stuff so the hour i spent on her wasn't wasted).

Speaking of, okay, I've always found the word: panties... slightly troubling. Now I have to say it all the time. This time last week it was driving me crazy, now I'm just sooo over it. But saying it out loud is hard to do without cracking a smile. This, however, is an improvement, where before, I used to giggle just from saying it. Ah, what can you do, right? I love my job, it's FT, my co-workers are fabulous - 3 of us are 20! It's all in all a good thing.

I'm working from 1-8 tonight, tomorrow 12-9, Saturday 12-9, Sunday 11-7. And then I have Monday and Tuesday off.
