Just a quick 'lil update:
Wesleyan Singers had a concert last night, so Ben & I followed the van to VB United Methodist church. They did a great job as usual, Ben's solo just blows me away :D He's so good! And afterwards, Me, Ben, Terry & Chris all went to our friend Charlotte's house for her dinner party. It was fun, I found out my friends Amanda and Wes got engaged - who isn't getting engaged lately? :D There were drinks, pizza and ... ahem ... some toys. Good times all around. Too bad we couldn't stay longer! We met up with Dr. Clayton and the singers on the way back, we saw the van was at No Frill Grill and stopped in to say hello. DC asked me to learn one of the pieces that the choir's singing for the spring, so I'm psyched to get back on stage again and sing. I miss it so much!
Dad's got a new song for me and him to learn this year, and he's actually setting time to practice with the band for their gigs this year - woo hoo! The song is called "Step it up Mary"...it's really cool, much better than "When the Stars go Blue" - the one we sang last year (not so great). He's trying to get Ben to get up and sing when he comes home with me, but I don't think it'll happen, he's being shy about it. Maybe next year.
Valentine's Day is approaching, and I still dunno what to get Ben. I have a few ideas, but I need to do some more research...I'll figure it out. I think I know something that he wants. It's not real sentimental or romantic, but I think he's like it.
My boss seems to think that I'm going to move up and become a lawyer in the future and someday take over his business. I find the work interesting and I'm learning alot, but I have other plans for myself. I don't know how to tell him that I don't plan on continuing in this field forever. This is a good job to have that helps me pay the bills so I can get into a grad program and eventually do what I REALLY want to do. I'm a little nervous, and it's kind of a lot of pressure to put on someone who is new to the whole legal thing.
Nothing else new. I'm excited for March. I got these awesome St. Patty's Day T's at Target for like, five bucks each. Can't wait to break them out when I get home :D the countdown begins....
It's shower & bedtime for me. It was a tiring Monday.
