I have limited internet access, so here it goes as quickly as I can.

My birthday really wasn't exciting at all. I was able to celebrate it the day before I hit the road with Ben, Martha, Sean, Kelly, Eric, Rebecca, Leslie, and Sean's friend Chris (who is really cool btw) at Olive Garden. It was really a lot of fun. Kelly, and I guess Ben too, told the waiter(s) it was my birthday so they brought out this little chocolate cake and sang, or clapped and said something. I dunno I wasn't really listening. But then for some odd reason, and I believe it to be the glass of wine before I had dinner that's to blame, I stuck my face in my cake. Sean & Ben both have a lovely picture of it...kind of. I wiped it off before they got the picture with all the chocolate on my face. Then Martha, Kelly and myself went to Steppin' Out to drink and sing karaoke. Took too long for us to get up and sing our song. But it was good times. So, that was my Happy Birthday Celebration. Of course, it's not over yet. There's still lots to celebrate when I get back.

So I spent my actual birthday in a beautiful room with a king size bed in Huntington NY. For those who don't know where Huntington is, it's on Long Island. I ate pizza in a whirlpool bath, and that was the extent of it. Happy Birthday to me. It could've been worse. But I was so lonely.

Being on the road isn't so bad. It would be more exciting if I could have people with me though. I get real homesick out here by myself. I am currently in Hackensack, NJ and after arriving realized I left my work cell phone in Medford. Thank goodness I'll be in the area next week, so I can get it back. But I truly hate driving in Jersey. It is way too confusing. I was late for a high school visit this morning because I got lost so many times. My dad has been a constant phone call to help me get the right directions, he's so wonderful. Mapquest sucks. At least it's not gas that I have to pay for :D That's a comforting thought.

So I hope that civilization in Virginia is going well. I will update again next week sometime when I get internet access again. Honestly, five bucks for forty-five minutes of internet stinks. Then again, I'm making admissions pay for that too. Take care everybody.
