(no subject)
OMG COLLEGE IS SOOOO SOON.
it kinda just processed with me today. i'm leaving home and i am starting my new life. holy crap i'm so excited.....my roommate seems cool and i'm in touch with the girl who is either right next door to me or right across the hall (we don't know how the numbering works).
but i'm so far behind on shopping. kaitlin and i are gonna talk soon and we'll work out exactly who is bringing what. i have a trip to the woodbury commons after into the woods is over.....i still need pillows and lots of other crap.
In case anyone cares, here is what I will be taking first semester.
Acting Studio I
Voice for Musical Theater I
Voice for Musical Theater Lab (don't ask me what the difference is...i don't know)
Music Skills (music theory)
Music Skills Lab (again, no idea what the difference between lab and class is)
Private Piano Lesson
Private Voice Lesson
Survey of Theater Arts (Theater History)
Scene and Lighting Technology (hmmmm)
Ballet
Jazz
First Year Writing
will I be in heaven or what? it might sound awful to you, but not to me.
what's so crazy is that Wednesdays I only have one class and it doesn't start till 4:00. It ends at 6 and my dad is certain that it will be cancelled the night before Thanksgiving. Based on that, that means I can come home Tuesday night or Wednesday morning....haha so that means I could go to the Riverdale alumni luncheon if I wanted to hahahahhahaha.
My schedule is very intense, but it still gives enough time for practicing, homework, and maybe having a smidge of a social life lol. I only have 8:30 AM classes on Mondays and Fridays. It could be worse!!
And for voice for musical theater (and hopefully for voice lessons too....but we don't get those assignments till later), can you say teacher of a tony award winner (SUTTON FOSTER)???
I cannot wait....this is insane!!
I think I'll be coming home the weekend after my birthday if I can because my mom got us tickets to see Grey Gardens. There are no UArts shows that weekend that I would be required to usher for, so hopefully I can. I don't want her seeing Grey Gardens with someone else. The good news is that Philadelphia and NY are not that far that I could always come just for a few hours in the worst case cenarios lol.
I feel like I'm so preoccupied getting excited for college that I'm forgetting about Into the Woods. That opens on Friday and I'm excited for that soo much....even though hell week will be hell (hence the name)....but it's so fun to perform because I get to be a total brat on stage.....so yay I actually am excited. And a lot of people are coming to see me in it.
And as soon as Into the Woods ends, we have a Sound of Music reunion for the viewing of the video....and then I have Spamalot (and my mom and I are gonna try and see Spelling Bee that evening)....so things are looking up.....
