Crying isn't always a response to negative-seeming situations.
Sometimes emotional levels get so intense that there's nothing else you can do.
It's a release.
Lots of people are moved to tears by generally positive things like weddings, new-born babies, kindness, art, nature & *ahem* orgasms.
And sometimes you cry after something that falls in a relatively neutral (but leaning toward positive) area.
Like after late-night, deep conversations with a friend you've had for 13 years.
Because there's nothing else you can do.
It's a release.
