It was good to go home for a few days. Dad had already seen Master & Commander, so I was a little disappointed...was hoping to see it w/ him after Thanksgiving dinner. But we celebrated his birthday after dinner. I'm glad I got home on Wednesday in time to sign his card! Hehe.
infernoflow let me play Diablo II, I got to play w/ Shadow & Goldie, Grandma & Grandpa got a new kitty named Katie, Grandma offered to teach me to crochet next time I'm up, & Mom took me grocery shopping. (Thanks, Mom!)
I left town too late to take
vampirejew to MI, & Susan had to drive up & get him. It slipped my mind that he had to be there early to make the prop kits. Bah. But I called him about a quarter to 4 to let him know I was still in Fresburg, which was when he told me Susan was coming to get him. I felt kinda bad. I really wanted to get there early too, & hang out w/ everyone. But I told him I'd be there anyway & could drive him back up. And I did! I finally went to see MI! *dances* I had a blast. I'd gotten there about 11:30, stood around talking & ended up in the back of the ticket line, but
mibecky smuggled me in early. I felt so special! I got felt too. That's a very friendly cast! For not being their own groupie or a member of another cast I got lots of positive attention & it wasn't all groping & gawking (though admittedly a lot of it was & I didn't mind).
I'm curious--who else out there feels like a Lost Howard? And is there a particular character you can identify with? I think it's possible to have the former w/out the latter, but I'm not so sure if the reverse is true. You don't have to identify w/ a character in order to feel like you should somehow be a Howard, though I've found that most people usually do. For instance, I feel like a Lost Howard & I identify w/ Hilda Corners.

mimian & I all have Howard personas for our "co-wife" family. While Dragon & I adopted Maureen & Hilda right away, we felt that Rhia & Mim were Lost Howards who didn't know it yet & sort of bestowed the Howard personas of Hamadryad Weatheral & Hazel Stone on them for continuity. (Though I feel like we matched them well.)
A guy I talk to online seems to identify somewhat w/ Zebediah Carter (Zebby!) & Lazarus & my friend Paul on the BL RHPS cast identifies w/ Jubal Harshaw.
No need to explain why you feel like you should be a Howard--I know I couldn't put it into words, but I know that Heinlein fans could understand anyway. However, if you can identify w/ a character, feel free to tell why. Hilda & I seem to share a sense of humor, similar philosophies & an auntie instinct. So...talk to me!
