One of these days I'm going to put something in her drink.

Karen & I had a music fight last night. It was unintentional on my part (read: she started it). *wink* Normally, I put up w/ her music- some of it I can tolerate & most of it I can't stand, but I'm good about keeping my mouth shut. Not to mention she consistently leaves her music on when she goes to bed & I'm left turning it off when I know for sure that she's asleep, & also has a habit of listening to the same song 5x in a row.
Anyhoo, I had my music on 1st fair & square, & it wasn't offensive. I could've had Lords of Acid or Rammstein or Nine Inch Nails, but I didn't. I had on music I've heard her say before that she liked. Yet, when she got out of the shower, she went over & turned her stereo on, & made the volume comparable to mine. Then, haha, then she had the gall to ask me to turn my music down. I swear it was all I could do not to blow up at her. We ended up with both of us playing music at fairly low levels, & eventually she turned hers off. Of course, as soon as my playlist ended, she turned her stereo on again, then left it on when she went to bed- as usual.

revaladdinsane suggested earphones for both of us, & that's fine when when we're sitting next to our respective stereos (or when I'm at my computer) but if we're getting ready for school or something, it's kind of hard to do that. And usually she's the 1st to turn her music on. CDs seem to start faster than MP3s. And she's seen me click on an MP3 to play it & started playing a CD anyway. Then I have to turn my computer down & try to close the window before it starts.
I'm not sure why this is happening. I was happy to get my music on 1st last night, but I tried to play something we both liked. Not to be self-centered, but shouldn't she be happy that I'm trying to find middle ground? Maybe I should start playing some of my louder, harder stuff while she's around. I don't wanna fight, but maybe doing that a few times will help get it out of my system. Hey
vampirejew, may I borrow a Gwar CD? *blink*blink*

*HUGS*
