I realize that the fact I'm reposting this because someone I know might actually be interested in it tells you more about the sort of people who I'm friends with than maybe I should be letting on.....

Hey all!
Rochester's longest running and only Circus/Sideshow/Dance performance group is looking for a new performer (or two if the people are right).
One of our members will be going on a cross country trek this fall and we need to fill his spot, which means starting to work with and train the right person now.
About us:
I started Pyromorph 10 years ago with a couple friends as a fire performance troupe. Over the years it's been added to and rearranged and is continuing to grow annually, with many "sub-troupes" and projects. We've been fortunate enough to travel, meet amazing people, see some really cool shit and have alot of fun doing it.
We have been featured on Discovery Channel, History Channel, in the local media and in magazines such as Stars and Scars, The Burn Syndicate, LA Times, NY Times and more.
What we do: Well, everything.
Sideshow arts, circus arts, several forms of cultural dance and interactive improv.
About you:
You need to be outgoing, friendly, mature, reliable, comfortable public speaking, creative, adventurous and willing to try anything.
Preferably we are looking for a male between 22 and 35, but will concider the right woman as well.
Some knowledge of circus and sideshow arts and skills needed but will train the right person.
We are especially interested in someone who is looking to learn "geek skills" ie: sword swallowing, human pincushion, pierced weight lifting, etc.
We average 2-4 shows a month, and that number is growing.
Rehearsals are currently unpaid, 1x per week.
This position is by contract.
If you are interested or have questions please contact me at Pele at Pyromorph dot Com
