So.

A couple weeks ago, my buddy Mister Lord xerbiusk Danny HanSoloHair was very awesome and bequeathed unto me his very own digital camera, as he felt he did not use it to the potential that I would probably put it to.

This is a wise observation.... However ::

I have the 540... you need not the regular cords... the memory card you can find at radioshack in town for $15-$20 depending on the sale... the av cable is a bit pricier.. order that online...

instead of the usb interface cable (which requires the camera be powered up and costs $20), get a USB SD card reader ($5-$13 at RS, depending on sales) or a universal USB card reader ($10-$20 at RS)...

    at RS:
44-1920 Sandisk 1GB SD card $14.99 on sale through Saturday
16-293 Targus 32-in-1 USB card reader $9.99 on sale through Saturday
16-145 Digital Concepts SD USB card reader $12.99 regular price

can't really help with the strap and the AV cord is only useful if you'll be playing things back on the tv...

I second this! It's much cheaper just to buy a card reader that plugs in by USB to any computer. Then you can just drag and drop the files onto your computer.

Best Buy carries them too for around the same price.

I might have an extra wrist strap hanging around...if I can't find it, I could also make one. Plus Best Buy (at least mine does) actually carries some beaded camera straps but I think I could make nicer ones. :)
