I lost my glasses 2 weekends ago, at the opening weekend of the NYRenFaire.
I lost my PA State ID card last Friday at some point, somewhere here in my town of Warwick. :P
Glasses have not yet been found, and I have really honestly written them off as being truly Lost this Time... but I talked to my Mom on the phone yesterday, and she offered to help me pay for an eye exam and a new set of glasses. I'm definitely going to request Transitions lenses again - I loved the sun-block affect combined with the regular glasses - but I think this time I'm going to give-up the Flexon tech. in favor of something less expense, but still durable.
As for the ID? I need to get a new NYState ID card anyways - but knowing that NY has plastic cards for the Driver's Learner Permits, versus PA's paper ones, the idea was to just go ahead and get myself a NYState Learner's Permit as my ID.
The only glitch with that is that I would need my glasses in order to take part of the test :P
So the Good News is....
... A local neighbor guy saw me walking home from work today, and told me he'd found my ID card in the street on Saturday, and had turned it into the CVS Pharmacy store around the corner! :D I walked back to CVS and sure enough, they had it! When I walked back home then for the second Time today, the guy was still out on his front porch, and I thanked him profusely :D
I love this town that I have chosen to Live in :)
Going along with that -
2 months ago, I didn't know much of anything at all about my new job & workplace at The Inkwell.
Now, 2 months later, I'm competent enough to be left on my own on occasion, and even at the end of the day to close up the shop! w00t for experience, buwa-ha! :D
And CHEERS TO BRIAN, for a full year of hard work and personal, social, and financial sacrifices in order to further his personal & career goals - He passed his tests and is graduating from his Paramedics class!!!!!! CONGRATS, Mr. Awesome Roommate!!!!!!!!!!! :D
oh yeah... and my day got a ton better today, once I got to work - working with my co-worker Mike Hickey is always a great way to boost my spirits, level of amusement, and reaction time to bad jokes, lol. Good times :)
