I haven't really discussed this with Brian yet, but I will obviously re-post if there is a problem with this idea and offer ::
I know that most of my friends here in Southern NY are Rennies - those crazy cool cats who dress-up on weekends in August & September to bring a flare for fantasy to Life - and this is directed mostly, although not entirely, at you all. HOWEVER, any other friends needing space can drop me a note of interest as well :)
I also know that
faiddarkhart Sean does the NYRenFaire thing, as a patron, just about every weekend of Faire season, I guess, so it's already looking like he'll be staying over at our apt. most every weekend :) Means I get to see him Friday or Sat night again already! Kinda cool :)
Does anyone else think they are going to be needing a place to crash on Friday/Saturday nights, to enable them to either attend or work the Sat & Sun of NYRFaire weekends??
I know a lot of people usually stay at the CR1 Cabin, but this year sees Brian & I having apartment space that could very potentially be used for helping lessen the load of people crammed together like Rennie sardines.
A couple things people should know when expressing interest in this offer ::
Brian & I both have jobs that we work on weekends -
Fridays, Brian works 8-8pm usually, and I work 10-6pm usually.
Saturdays, Brian works 10-10:30pm usually, and I work 10-5pm for sure.
Sundays, Brian works at the NYRF for "Knightly Endeavors"... as boothe candy ;D - and I work 12-4pm for sure.
Our D&D and Rennie friends aren't the only people potentially already staying over at our apt. during Faire season - I have friends from college, camp, and abroad, as well as family members, who are looking to possibly visit here at some point & go to Faire. I believe Brian has a couple people potentially visiting as well {not sure}.
Brian & I would need to know ahead of time if you are planning to stay over.... 1) so there is room, 2) so we are sure we are actually here, and 3) in case we have family or other people visiting already, and can't have more people over :P and of course because 4) we might actually need a weekend to ourselves, lol.
There are Nerf Gun Ninja ambush attacks that take place in our home, and none who dare enter are safe from said potential attacks ... not even house plants. You have been warned. ;D We also have many pointy things in our house... like that's a surprise for Rennies, ha.
You eat my Nutella without asking, and you will be harmed. Very simple :: Do NOT eat my Nutella.
:D So yeah - we have a lot of space, at least right now.
Brian & I are hopefully heading to my storage unit of stuff in Warsaw, NY, at some point in mid-late August, as well as Virginia, and furnishings & general STUFF will be sure to return with us, filling up some of our nooks & whatnot.
As of right now, my room can accommodate a couple people, and the main living areas of the apt. hold a couch, funky futon, and loads of floor space. We have a full-sized air mattress, but that's Brian's, and I dunno if he'll be loaning that out or not.
... And we have air conditioning. ;D
Again, if there is an issue or problem with this open invitation, I will note it for sure, and keep y'all updated - or Brian {axplazeboy} will hopefully post an addendum of his thoughts on this, should he see a need to.
Cheers & loves, everyone... and best of luck on your up-coming NYRenFaire season!!! :D
