UMass Hospitality has a
class that learns how to cook for a restaurant. The practical side of this is that they serve pretty decent food for not very much money. They don't really advertise much, but one of my former coworkers at Accounts Payable told me about it.
Lucky and I are planning to go on March 12 when they are serving:
Black Bean or Minestrone Soup
Sun-Dried Tomato Bread
Mixed Greens with Lemon-Garlic Vinaigrette
Barbeque Grilled Chicken Breast served with Sweet Potato Latke and Mixed Vegetables
Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
which is a pretty good deal for $12 a plate.
Anyways, I was thinking it might be nice to go out to dinner with some of my other friends one of those weeks, since I've really been holed up in my own little world for a while now. So if anyone is interested in dinner some Thursday (I can't do the Wednesday lunch, I have a class then), take a look at the menu and let me know.
