SPN episode 5.21
Wow, tonight's episode was amazing. So much stuff happened. So many emotions. And Cas and Bobby! Wow... I honestly can't contain myself. I've got so much to say about this episode! I normally don't post discussions and host "Here's what I thought" posts, but tonight? It really calls for it.
Okay, so we're off to an awesome start. Pestilence shows up with an old lady and makes her explode green goo out of her mouth. My first thought is "What were they feeding that woman? That is an unnatural color!
Cas!
Dean gets a call from Cas. He's in a hospital. He's lost all his heavenly mojo and is basically a human now. Sucks.
Bobby's Deal
Sam and Dean find out about Bobby's deal with Alasteir. That got a great reaction from the boys. I love how Dean wants to know if they kissed. Bobby's indignant "NO!" is hilarious. And it gets even funnier when Alasteir shows up with an iPhone (or iPod Touch, not sure which) and a picture of them kissing. And then Bobby is like "Why'd you have to take a picture?!" and Alasteir's comeback is a job well done for the writers. "Why'd you have to use tongue?"
Virus & Death
We find out that after Pestilence is killed, he had shipments of Croatoan virus going out in the form of Swine Flu vaccines. Alasteir added a bit to Bobby's deal. He gave him his legs back. AWESOME!!! Bobby is mobile again! Sam, Bobby and Cas stop that little project while Dean and Alasteir go to Chicago to get Death's ring. Surprisingly, Death gives it up. But, Death makes Dean promise to have Sam say yes to Lucifer and jump in the pit. Dean hesitates, but takes the ring and agrees. Not cool.
Sammy & Lucifer
Cut back to Bobby's place. Dean is playing with the rings. Bobby talks to him, tells him that they don't really give Sam the credit he deserves. The end of the episode is amazingly powerful. Bobby asks Dean if he is afraid of losing the world, or afraid of losing his brother. God, that was such a perfect ending. Gives you something to chew on. Loved it. I think for Dean, his brother is his world. Dean is all about family, and Sammy is all he's got left. The ending of this season is going to be good. I can't wait!
