NEW RELEASES
It's that time again - a smattering of new tracks from the Nicovideo top 100 this past week. If you're new the comm and not sure how to play these, you can find links both for signing up for Nicovideo and for ripping files from it in our profile. If you're wondering what you're missing by not being in there, well, here's a smattering of recent examples, names withheld to protect the not-so-innocent.

From the same album as Toy Box, this is easily my favorite of the update - a completely adorable rock tune with a habit of falling away into soft trance-esque beats, BEAT! is a wonderfully listenable track which features half the other Vocaloids on backing.

The aforementioned Len-dying-in-cave one. A very soft rock that's near as damnit pop, my only real gripe is some slightly wonky mixing meaning you can barely hear half the instruments. Otherwise, a pleasant listen and a decent video.

No video, as you might have twigged from the eyecatch, and a really, really deep Luka setting makes her sound almost like Len, but it's an adorable, catchy track full of whiny guitar. Also I totally just ripped the file and named it 'Toy Boy' by accident.

From now on I'm going to mark videos with funky text effects because it's basically the same damn guy all the time. This is a stonking rapid piano track with rather phallic imagery and a fantastic, creepy, crazy video.
【ニコニコ動画】『Sweet Sweet Cendrillon Drug』を歌ってみた【clear】
(Sweet Sweet Cendrillon Drug, Fandub (Clear), Rock)
Clear's version of one of the more recent vocarock songs. I can't listen to the Miku version at all, the voice set way too high, so you get the clear version instead. Clear's singing voice is, as ever, fantastic; watch out for the now traditional point where nicovideo as a whole bursts into laughter.

Deco*27 is a fairly common name responsible for some big tracks - the recent Crime And Punishment, amongst others - and the latest offering is a relentlessly cute soft track that could have come direct from Puzzle's influence.

This is basically just here to make dosetsu happy; Luka catchy pop with a distinctly moe-filled video and a whole lot of glorious engrish. May possibly have something to do with Kanon, if I'd ever watched it at all.

A sax-and-winds filled big band track with an absolutely amazing video. I have little to no idea what's going on beyond crossdressing and people with X's on their faces and Kaito in a dress and your daily quota of TWINS ANGST, but hey, that's more than enough for me.
