I'm really not feeling it, this week. A lot of the new releases just didn't stick with me, and the daily is currently flooded with Lily covers of Vocaloid songs, many of which... well... aren't very good. We should probably mention news about Rio, the new AHS vocaloid...

...How about starting with the fact that she's not officially the next AHS vocaloid. There's been nothing saying she is on AHS site, and, elsewhere, it was said that the artist is not KEI.

Also, Lily's extremely difficult to use. Since she has a limited range alto range...yeah. It doesn't surprise me that her demo songs aren't good.

I'd listen to the songs, but sleep is calling me. :

Not demo songs...but songs released using her demo software. Pardon me.

Well, she's released by AHS so that groups her under the "AHS" tag, just like how Lily's getting grouped under Internet even though Internet's just the distributor for it.

I am not denying that she's AHS, but everyone's saying that it's Rio when there's no official word that it is Rio. That's my problem.

I admit that I was vague. I really, really should go to bed before I become incoherent.

Yeah, it wasn't a knock against the producers as re: Lily, I simply don't expect there to be songs that really grab me until people settle down and get the hang of the voicebank. (Though Machige's came very close, it didn't seem like a good representation as she's high and autotuned to hell and back.)

KEI probably won't be the 'final / official' illustrator - I imagine they'll pass that off to someone in-company so they don't have to pay every time they want to stick her in a Hello Kitty IP - but he sure got the first go at it, his name's everywhere on the site. There is some older merchandise where I can't quite tell if it's him or not (thumbnails too tiny) - which would probably bear out the 'KEI is a guest' thing.

Belatedly, nnnnno. The confusion was because KEI designed Rio (the Kittyler) for the PSP game and people assumed that since KEI had drawn her, she would be the new Vocaloid. But as of now there is no official name or image for the Sanrio-loid.
