One of the things I dislike about doing sort-of-weekly posts in this manner is the extremely irritating fact that whenever I update about three or four incredibly good songs are guaranteed to come out the same day.
So this week I'm throwing caution to the wind and posting them, because they're gorgeous.
【初音ミク】「Story」 19’s Sound Factory(Story (19's Sound Factory), Miku, Pop)
Very much a spiritual sequel to Dear (shut up Floor) this bouncy poppy dancey pianoy TV-size track is both delightful and paired with a truly stunning video. Perhaps a little cheesy for some of you out there, but it hits all my preferences perfectly. If only it wasn't so short - this is getting to be somewhat of a theme. Can we hope for longer versions of any of these TV tracks?
【初音ミク】月屑【オリジナル】PV(Waste Moon (kous), Miku, Easy Listening)
Another fantastic entry from kous, this track goes firmly into the 'chillout soft song with strong beats and single instruments' category. A piano-filled song with a lovely Miku voice and acoustic guitaring, stick around until 3:40ish for the sudden big finish where everything gets both weird and seriously neat and the song turns into drums-and-synth.
mikiちゃんオリジナル曲 ミキとの遭遇(Miki Encounter (musuka), Miki, Happy Hardcore)
See, given my European origins, one of my not-so-secret weaknesses is a good bit of happy hardcore, and this is a very good bit of happy hardcore. One of my favorite Miki songs so far, she's perfectly suited for this breakneck feel-good anthem.
