Oh jeez I just watched this community yesterday why am I doing this. ;_;

My name is James, I'm 18, and I live in Victoria, BC. My favorite Vocaloid is Len because I am obligated to love the closest thing to a shota in any given fandom, though my love for Luka has increased quite a bit lately. I'm not particularly picky about genre, though that might just be because I can't tell you the genre of a song while I'm listening to it half the time. My favorite songs are the generic popular ones everyone and their mom knows and loves, so I watched this community (which I found through someone who said the Vocaloid RPers were lovely) to try and expand my horizons a little!

Vocaloid is one of the very, very few fandoms I don't ship very much. Either that, or I just casually ship everything so it feels like I don't ship much. My biggest other fandom is Mega Man in almost all its forms, and while what I like shifts around a lot, some of my other constants are Star Ocean, Fire Emblem, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, Persona, Mother, and Devil Survivor. I spend most of my time playing video games (currently, Dragon Age, Left 4 Dead 2, and I Wanna Be The Guy), RPing from most of the aforementioned fandoms, and modding a couple of small LJRPs.

My LJ consists mostly of lame roleplaying/character-related memes and pointless blathering about RL in an attempt to not alienate the people on my flist who aren't in RP. 8)

Yeeeeeessss. L4D2 is my current obsession. As long as it's on PC. Otherwise you might be a heathen.

Guh, just been playing Realism Expert Parish. Can't believe we made it to the bridge, but that's harrowing.

Oh wow. My mic is broken so I haven't even entertained trying Realism, but damn, this game is a lot harder than the first one. Retraining myself to not go stand in corners and shoot until everything is dead is difficult enough without the actual difficulty increase. How are you liking the new survivors?

That's actually kind of a good question. Bearing in mind that I'm not from the US, let alone from the south, the impression I get of a lot of the game is... 'lol south'? I mean, you've got your big guy who's the target of fat jokes, the hickish kid, the sleazy gambler? The first panic event a guy wants you to get cola from the store for him. I dunno - it doesn't bother me, but after the hyper-sensitivity of the first game ('we'll make zoey strong! and not weak! but also normal! and a bit vulnerable! and in no way offensive to anyone whatsoever!') it seems strange and raised an eyebrow. Maybe it's because the first game spread it's lol out? lol biker, lol army vet. Here it's all... lol south.

I dunno. Doesn't bother me, does confuse me a bit.

I totally play Coach every chance I get, though.

I see what you mean, and I think they were kind of trying to head in a TF2-ish direction with things as far as humor goes, playing up the stereotypes instead of necessarily trying to refute them.

Coach is great. I'm usually a Nick guy myself, but I've found myself picking random more often in this than I did in the first one, where I would offer to make the lobby for my friends so I could snap up Francis quickly. :`)

I'm usually only playing with friends rather than pubbing, as we've got a couple servers. Unfortunately the server owner tends to snap him up. Bastard.
