the Beatles
My boooooooys. This is the first and most likely only band where I've actually been infatuated with both the artists as well as the music. I love them like Titanic passengers loved lifeboats. Just. Everything about them is clever and witty and cute and dorky and my boooooooys. ;A;
Shakespeare
The Bard, dude. I've always liked Shakespeare in that 'my parents have welded in my head this is An Important Person' way, but it was only in high school once I actually started reading the plays that I began liking him on his actual talents. And whoa, hello talent. Shakespeare is the shit, man. Waaaaay ahead of his time in a lot of stuff. The Tempest is my favorite, if you're wondering.
Also yes, this is the reason all my icon keywords are Shakespeare. Boss writer, plain boss.

My crazy, dirty, sort of frightening home state. I've lived in The City all my life, and I wouldn't trade it for any other place in the world. Even, like, a medieval castle.
Seriously. Where else can you go to ride a subway with a guy in leather, white body paint, and a mohawk and all you worry about is making it to the boat terminal on time? And even though the people up there terrify me, I like upstate well enough too.

...I seem to play a number of communists/former communists/people involved with communists. I. I don't really know how that happened. I think that the way countries that adopt communism as their method of governing are really interesting to watch through history, so that might have something to do with it.
That or I just have a thing for communists. We'll see. :/
