Feel Good Bar-b-Q
I think i've lost weight and gotten a tan this the past week slaveing over a hot grill at Sonny's. You see me being the team player that i am volunteered myself for kitchen duty when all of our cooks, except for one, quite in a 24 hour period. One went to jail, another went back to his old job, another's wife, or "baby's momma"... i'm not sure which, had a baby so he's out. And here is the funniest one of all. It started raining and this guy said he had to go roll his windows up in his car... never came back in. I laughed my ass off at that one! There is some speculation however, as to whether he actually quite or got abducted by aliens. The F.B.I. has been contacted and I'll get back to you when new developments are made. Needless to say, i've spent quite a bit of time in the kitchen as of late. Its not so bad, my check is going to be monstrous come monday. can't wait! Seeing as i've got shit i need to take care of and i have no money. Which brings me to my next point.
The tags on my car expired on June 30th, and the very next day my car insurance was due. Quite a perdicament wouldn't you say? So since i'm trying to build credit i figured i'd pay the insurance and just drive very carefully until i get the money to do the tags and shit. Then on monday my cell phone bill comes in. There's another $65 bucks added to the list of things i need to pay for but don't have the money to. I guess things could be worse though. =-/
Marched in the 4th of July parade in Geneva on monday. Mad fun! it was great, except for the sousaphone i was using got a terrible leak halfway through the parade so B-flats and F's were non-existant. it was still fun though. I worked at 530 serving later on that day. Terrible shift. It was busy as hell and i only made $46. I was pretty pissed off! Ticket times got to be close to an hour. It sucked sooooo bad. but the night did get better so thank the Lord for that.
Thats pretty much the low down on whats new. My brother Justin is coming home next saturday and i'm WICKED EXCITED! I haven't seen him in a year!! Things with sarah are going great. uhhhm Marc Broussard concert next friday. can't wait. i was gonna get tickets to DMB but i don't have enough to see him and marc broussard in the same week. =-( I talked to leslie tatum yesterday. she called me out of NOWHERE! It was sooo good to talk to her. Her family's moving to south carolina on friday, but her and steph are both going to UNF in Jacksonville so that's not too bad. still within driving distance =-D there is just something about that girl that intrigues me to no end. just when i think i've lost all feelings for her she comes out of nowhere and reaffirms them. so enchanting... ::sigh:: now don't get me wrong, i reallllly like sarah ! But i'm pretty sure i'm going to marry leslie. so there that is. ANYWAY! I think i'm gonna go work out for a bit. got laundry to do too. 's been real!
