Ok so, this weekend was pretty great. Friday night, Bret and I discussed future movie plans. We're going to make it about the sinking of the Titanic where Rose will be played by Carmen Electra and she will swim to Greenland and become its queen. The movie will also include abominable snowmen and demonic toys.
Saturday night I went to the new movie theatre in Mayfaire, which I must say, is pretty good for Wilmington. I saw The Phantom of the Opera which was also rather impressive. I'm nearly positive that the stage version is better. My feelings are that the director probably didn't care shit about the music, he just wanted to make it look lovely and flow well; which it did. The Phantom of the Opera music is really very pretty, its just very repetative. All in all I enjoyed it. My mother, who is not what you would call an "artisitc person" to say the least, kept whispering "Why don't they stop singing?" and "I am tired of watching this girl's cleavage." My mom also had little appreciation for "Moulin Rouge". Another really great movie. The fact that the moon could sing "The Sound of Music" bothered her immensly.
Another highlight of the weekend was Scene it? I gutted all of my opponents like fish. It was tremendous.
Now I've got to go finish learning my lines for the upcoming play.
