Dante is amazingly handsome! He has very gentle eyes and a sweet face. I agree with Phantom Stranger, Kia looks absolutely exstatic to have a new buddy to run around with.
Ok, now that you ruined my boy by letting him have an entire couch to himself, pillow included, it is time for me to take Dante for a couple of days and teach him early how dogs need to act. It will be runs 2 times a day and hikes in the snow for that boy. I need to implant his internal alarm clock and set it to 4:30am. Actually he might make a good back country ski buddy for me and Beck :) I am really happy for you Steph.

Mitts off woman! Just remember that I was nice and didn't load 2Cell up with Dairy Queen before Mike picked him up. :)

Actually, Dante might make a good play buddy if Cassius doesn't pull the drunken cowboy act. Apparently he loves everyone, male, female, cat and only fights when someone else starts it. And then, well, he's an Akita so pretty sure the deck is stacked in his favor.

You could have loaded up 2Cell on Dairy Queen before Mike picked him up. I would have laughed. I am not getting home until Saturday night, plenty of time for the boy to poop all over the place and plenty of time for Mike to clean it up :)
We could try for a Dante/Cassius introduction. It would have to be just the two of them. Beck might fall in love with him though....she has a thing for big dogs like him. If 2Cell does pull the drunken cowboy he might learn a valuable lesson, let's hope the 2Cells are working.

You have a beautiful boxer!! I am currently owned by a three legged white boxer that I rescued. From the very first day, she has been perfect... like I raised her from a pup. Boxers rule! ;)

*hides from Steph*

No hiding necessary - although I worry about your mental stability. You know owners resemble their dogs right? I'm ok being a sneaky freak with a demonic side and moments of pure craziness. Are you ok having a bunch of random moments strung together without any real recollection of what you were doing or how you got there - oooh, squeaky toy!? ;)

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Oh God, that is such a perfect description of me!... er, I mean, my dog!! Yeah! MY DOG!! *dies*

I wanted to ask, would it be ok if I shared your descriptions of your time with Cassius with my Boxer Rescue list? I think they would get a HUGE kick out of your appraisal of time with a Boxer from a Non-Boxer owner.

by all means - go for it! Just make sure I get credit, k? You know, just in case I ever go for that book deal. :D

Sure thing! Thanks! :) Oh and feel free to post more pics of Cassius' Great Big Play House with Nikkia. ;)

I think you would actually like a female boxer. They tend to have more of the sneaky, devilish, I-let-you-think-you-are-boss, personality than the boys. The boys are just... well... BOYS. "feed me! rub my belly!" *G*

I dunno - I've become kinda superficially attached to the upright eared abominable snowbeast kinda dogs.

And you know, I think I've only ever met one female boxer, even after spending 3/4 of a year transporting boxers to/from a boxer rescue in a couple of hours away. She was just as nuts as the boys - although in her defense, she was young and visitors are always cause for excitement. The deaf boxers though. Holy crap. People who take on those guys full-time deserve an award...or a padded room.

Oh definitely! A deaf boxer... I draw the line just this side of one of those! lol!

Visitors pretty much mean all bets are off. Even my beloved Stella, the light of my life and the best trained dog I could ever imagine, would LOSE HER MIND when someone visited. People called her wild... I said she was "enthusiastic". ;)

I promise, I will take my disposable camera to be developed this weekend and post pics and a complete rundown on Clover. :)

Thanks, he is a pain in the a** but I still love him. He has taught me a lot. How does your three legger get around? Does he or she have their hearing? I love boxers too!

My tripod dog gets around great! The faster she can go, the better. That lone back leg just hops along like a kangaroo tail. lol

She can hear, thankfully. I've never had a deaf dog, all of my dogs end up with a huge vocabulary, I'm not sure how I could communicate with a dog that couldn't hear me... besides, I would feel weird holding a one-sided conversation with a deaf dog. ;)

Where did you get Cassius? He looks like a nicely bred boy, from the pics I've seen.

That is great she gets along so well.
I got Cassius from a backyard breeder. We looked for a rescue boxer for a couple of months but it was probably the one time in Boise there weren't any available. I think he is pretty good looking. He is on the small side, but that's alright.
