(no subject)
Well, this past Saturday was my last day at the vet. It was very bittersweet I think. We celebrated that Friday night at Maggiano's...with a big dinner!!! It was so good, I highly recommend it b/c with parties of 4 or more you get family style meaning the food just keeps on coming!!! We had parmesan cheese bread, spinach and artichoke dip, 2 kinds of salad, fettucini w/ broccoli, four cheese ravioli, chicken parm (my fave!), lemon and herb crusted salmon, asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, tiramisu (my other fave!), and an caramelized apple thing...it was sooooo good! To drink: I had a glass of wine, glass of water, a coke, and a cup of coffee!!!! I thought I was going to explode, but it was so worth it!!! And I got to take some home which I'm still eating...and it's so yummy! So for any fancy meal (or just any ol' time) Maggiano's is the place! lol It was really nice b/c everybody was there...except Sara which sucked, and we told stories of events past and got to hear everybody reminisce...fun!
Then Saturday my boss brought in Krispy Kreme donuts for everybody! MMMMMMM! I didn't cry on Saturday, but I had to fight back tears when my boss gave me a hug and said "it was a pleasure having you here." And at dinner Friday night she said "it's gonna be strange not seeing you at least 1 day a week." That was nice to hear, I must say.
Now I'm just trying to get everything ready to move, I have so much crap in my car right now. What's funny is that they make so many different kinds of storage things "space savers" and yet all of it together takes up so much space! That makes me laugh. But I got all kinds of junk and I still have stuff to get! Yuck!
And now I'm getting nervous...not about moving in or being away from home, but about the drive! I really don't want to drive there or back or anything but oh well...gotta do it sometime!
