(no subject)
Hot damn it has been a long time since I posted. Granted, I have excuses aplenty, most of which will be covered in the updates section, but still. I AM SORRY INTERNET, I DID NOT DIE.
Anyway, updates on the state of the Singe. Most of this will be old news to people on F'Book or AIM but hey ho.
Employment
Last time we talked, employment was a dirty, dirty subject. I had just been, if you recall, royally screwed over by freelancing - the useless boss' boss ringing to say "We don't employ anyone in Wales, who the hell are you and why should we pay you money?". I met with the Useless Boss, he assured me I would still be paid and gave me some projects to work on... and that was the last I heard from him despite leaving a million and one voicemail messages. Cue unemployment, jobseekers etc. Now I'm happily employed (yay!) in scheduling - I'm like Janine from Ghostbusters only we bust asbestos not spooks. I've done a little freelancing on a comedy pilot, but stable regular employment is winning out over penniless film-making for the moment.
Accomodation
Irish Manthing and I have moved into our first real proper adult apartment, which we are sharing with He Who Plays Rudie. The move itself didn't go too smoothly - the agent we'd been dealing with went off on holiday without telling anyone she'd arranged our moving-in, and so everyone else thought we were holding off until early December whereas in fact we were due to be in on October 7th. Therefore the flat wasn't anywhere near ready when we moved in; we spent the first day with no electricity, and hot water didn't arrive until this Thursday. There's still no telephone line / internet so I have access at lunchtime in work and... that's it.

Deadlands Season 3 will be going ahead in January; in the mean time we are playing Stormbringer, which was intended to be a 'lighter' experience than Deadlands... expect meta thoughts on that one along with the writeups.
