I'm glad you enjoyed the finale: it was seriously epic to play out, and had a lot of my favourite moments thus far. Rudepar really got to come into his own, and developing his issues with regard to demon!baby was beautiful. The ending was also like DUDE WTF? OH SHIT, WE'RE SO SCREWED. And then the epilogue... bwah!
You bet your ass Sam's going to be in Season 2; in fact, Season 2's going to be very much focused on the dysfunctional extended Forge-Harvelle family. We haven't got any idea what the overarching plot will be yet as the GM's writing something shiny and new for us but in terms of character stuff the forces of evil are after Sam as a potential figurehead for the Reckoning, the forces of good are after him because HE MUST DIE, Evie and Malcom are now grizzled war-vets, pretty much, in the Mal-and-Zoe mould, Evie's also Sarah Connor (heh heh), and Jacob has to deal with his brother and lover coming back 'from the grave' with his son - this being the son who he had the 'Evie clawed to death from the inside and demon baby having to be shot' vision about - who is only 12 years younger than him and treats Malcom as his 'real' father.
