As most of you have heard by now, Our Relay For Life Team The CastAways is raising money to support the American Cancer Society.
We are raising most of our money for this 24 hour event by holding a car wash next Sunday June 4th from 11am-4pm at the corner of 5th & Grand in Grover Beach.
Due to circumstances out of our control our normal team of 30 people is a small but dedicated crew of 8 this year.
We do not have enough manpower to have our car wash be a success. We are asking all of our local friends to come help us wash cars. Any amount of time you can spare on this upcoming Sunday will mean a LOT to us.
This year we are raising money to celebrate 10 years cancer free for our past team captain. The American Cancer Society was one of the only organizations that helped her during her fight and as luck would have it Relay this year is on the exact day 10 years later from the day she was diagnosed.
This is the year that we want to stand by her and show her how much it means to us that she is with us today. Thanks to advances in treatment and care we did not have to attend her funeral, but instead we get to celebrate her life.
Won’t you help us? Even if just for an hour or two? We REALLY need the help of you or anyone else you can think of who might want to join us.
