Needs Vs. Wants
Per a query from gor11la I am stealing time away from work to update. The first part of the weekend was good times. Friday I got off work and went to my favorite day spa, Bliss Body Spa. I got my hair trimmed and then my mom joined me for THE haircut. It turned out to be more of a trim, for now. After my sister's wedding she may go for it and get the bob cut she really wants. But all in all, Success! Then off to the video store for a movie night. My mom found some obscure boring film, I don't remember the title. I found, the LAST copy of Lion King 1 1/2. I grabbed it and exclaimed "Feb. 10th on DVD"! My mom just gave me a strange look, she just does NOT understand the joy of Lion King. This is my new favorite addition to my all time Disney favorite. It was all I wanted it to be and worth waiting for. They even have KARAOKE in it! Happy Happy Friday.
Saturday I got to sleep and be lazy most of the morning, then off to Blue to meet and aiken. Good drinks and a great Vday gift from Yani. I shall post it as my new LJ Icon as soon as she sends me the jpg! Its just that cool. The play, Vagina Monologues, was fantastic. Its a must see. Then off to karaoke, which was BUSY.... After much begging, and only because karaoke_star33 really loves us, we got to sing 2 songs. 2. All night. But it was good times anyway, including a perfectly timed call from Right, who was in NYC taking a cab home, and got to chat with most of THE bar. Funny moment while talking to Rich, Seanah sayz "Okay, give me back to Left" Rich: "Who?" Seanah:"LEFT" Rich:"What??" Seanah:"The other half of my brain you dork!"
Finally I got the phone ;-p
Sunday was not a happy day. I woke up with the worst headache ever.... after not drinking the night before! There must have been soy somewhere in dinner and here I thought I had managed to eat out and avoid the dreaded beast. Bleh. 12 hours later I was able to eat some 7-up and crackers.... after lots of happy zofran so I could keep pain meds down. Needless to say, work did not happen. Damn and I needed the money too.
Dentist yesterday, yay. But thank goodness for insurance, that visit just became one week's pay instead of 2 months! And my mouth was numb only until 7pm, just in time for Pesto.
Tonight? Lots of homework.... lots and lots. This Hotel class is harder then I thought, tonight I get to create a year long budget for the housekeeping department of my hotel. Happy happy joy joy. Humpf! For Free, for Homework!
Good news, I got the last weekend of Feb. off from work. For sure. Yay Surf Trip!!!!!
Just in time to come home and move into my new abode. Yay for March. Good month. I'll be poor, but life will be good.
