(no subject)
Chelsea totally grilled new guy at my party Saturday. He took it in stride, which impressed me. But then Chelsea came to the point where she became a little paternal and asked what his "intentions" are. Yeah. Not ready for that. Apparently, he wasn't either.
He looked at me and said, "So I guess now's about the time when we have the boyfriend/girlfriend talk, huh? Ok, but not now. I want to be social."
A) I don't have to have the talk. B) I'm not looking forward to having any kind of talk like that. C) None of those talks ever turn out positively for me. D) Fuck boyfriends. They all leave eventually, anyway.
So, later, when it got to that point, I said, "Listen, I don't have to be your girlfriend."
Hopefully, that was a good answer... For me.
