Lucky Girl? Yes, I am.
So the past almost 6 months have been nothing short of wonderful. I feel like one of the luckiest girls in the world. I've been doing great at work - been there 2 years now as of last week and I still love it! :)
My apartment is wonderful - it's a home...but it's not going to be my home for long. Kristi and I have been looking at apartments and we found our "dream place" that we're going back to look at next Tuesday with my mom. If it goes well, we'll be applying and hopefully moving in together at the beginning of May. This place we found is AMAZING. It's a loft style renovated mill building - it's beautiful and it would be perfect for our first place together. It has 18-22 foot ceilings, all the old piping is still there, huge brick walls, a covered parking garage, my cat and her dog are not an issue, sky lights in the master bedroom which is also the loft (if we go with that one..haven't decided yet). It's perfect.
Kristi and I are such a great match - in every way I hope for. Last night we stayed up until about 3:30am just talking and laughing and sharing thoughts, feelings and fears - just being honest and real with each other - it's so great to have someone that I am able to be so open and honest with and not worry about the outcome because I know she loves me. This is a relationship with a really solid foundation that we continue to build on every day and I wouldn't want it any other way.
I had a fantastic holiday season and birthday. I threw a great big birthday party for myself and my Birthday Twin at my house on Jan 2nd and it was a BLAST!!! Except the confetti from the pinata that I just cannot get rid of...
I got a belated birthday present this week from Kristi. It's a BEAUTIFUL silver ring with both of our birthstones ..it's sparkly and beautiful and it fits perfectly...just like how perfectly we fit together. It's engraved with our names on either side and says "Forever and Always" on the inside. I wish I could get a picture of it but I can't get one to come out not all fuzzy!!
Tonight I went to see Eddie Izzard..it was awesome. To make it an even better week, Kristi and I are seeing Jeff Dunham on Sunday night! And Ingrid Michaelson in Feb! YAY!!
2010 is going to be fantastic. Nothing can stop it from being the best year yet. I'm 27, in a great relationship with a wonderful woman that I love, I have a fantastic job, an adorable kitty, an upcoming move to a great new "home" and I'm so excited for everything in the future.
