(no subject)
Yesterday was fun in a guilty sort of way - any spending I did I blame Martin for not being here to be my shopping conscience. The most amusing part of the day came when the first thing I bought was the one thing that I had promised Martin I wouldn't buy - a handbag! But when I see the perfect handbag I just have to buy it (especially when it is on sale!). I did manage to get most of the things on my shopping list as well as some clothes, the Dark Crystal on DVD and the My Chemical Romance CD. I also bought a dress - I am not sure yet whether it is a bridesmaid dress - I will have to see what other dresses I find between now and the wedding. So all in all a very sucessful day.
Martin arrived safely in New Zealand - it was funny to talk to him as he was sitting watching the British Lions playing Bay of Plenty live on the TV in Auckland and I was doing exactly the same here in Singapore (we seem to be getting full live coverage of the Lions tour). He is feeling the cold a bit but that's what happens when you go from 32 degrees to 12 degrees.
The plan for today? I am sure you are all getting sick of hearing it - but yes, I am going shopping again. There are one or two things I couldn't get at the shops I visited yesterday so I may as well go out and have a look for them at different shops today. Then this afternoon I am going to spend money in a different way by ringing some family and friends in Auckland for a catch-up - lucky them!
