Last weekend was great - we could the bus to KL on Saturday morning and spent the next couple of days shopping, drinking margaritas, eating yummy food and watching sports. We came back with our wallets substantially lighter but ourselves substantially heavier thanks to all the food and drink. We made our wallets even lighter when we went shopping in Singapore on Monday afternoon and bought a 26-inch wide-screen LCD TV for the bedroom (it is so pretty!). We had resisted the temptation to buy an even bigger TV for the living room and move the current living-room TV (47 inches) into the bedroom as we thought that might be a touch excessive.
It has been a good week for Martin and I sportswise - Arsenal (my team) won the FA cup last weekend and Liverpool (Martin's team) won the UEFA champions league midweek. Top that off with the Yankees beating the Red Sox this morning and I am in a pretty good mood. So this weekend we are having a quiet (low-cost) weekend at home watching sport (baseball, tennis and formula 1). Martin leaves for Auckland on Friday so we have to start sorting out some packing and I have to start planning my shopping trips for the next two weekends...
