KL
It has been a pretty good weekend in Kuala Lumpur. I am updating this from our hotel room - the internet is a bit unreliable but hopefully this should post ok. After a crappy week at work it was nice to know that I was heading away for the weekend. Our weeekend away didn't start off too well on Saturday after we had to spend an hour in the bus just trying to reach Singapore immigration and moving once every 10 minutes! Once we eventually got underway the trip went pretty quick. We arrived in KL about 2 in the afternoon and were at the KLCC shopping centre by 2:30. Even more impressive was the fact that we were at our favorite margarita bar by the time happy hour started at 3. Several margaritas later we were back at the hotel for free drinks in the executive lounge before heading to the markets at Petaling Street. After buying numerous bags, sunglasses and football jerseys we headed back to the hotel bar to watch the FA cup final which ended at about 1 in the morning with an Arsenal victory (yay!).
Today we went shopping again and spend up big in sports shops. We spent most of the afternoon blobbing before heading to the hotel bar to watch qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. After that we headed back to the exceutive lounge for free drinks and now we are about to head off for dinner in the hotel restaurant where we can watch the Grand Prix live on the big screen. So all in all a fabulous weekend but unfortunately we have to be on a bus at 8 tomorrow morning to head back to Singapore!
