I heart taxi cabs!

Hey, how's it going?

Well, it's 2:27AM and I can't sleep. I've cleaned the entire apartment, replied to all my emails, and even organized my dresser drawers and I'm still totally awake. Don't be worried or ask me why I'm still awake...I don't know and I'm still chipper at 2 in the morning.

Anyway, it has been a fun couple of days. Friday morning was a little scary, though. See, I bought some lilies for my room because they smell so good. Well, wasps think they smell good, too. When I opened my curtain in the morning, there were FIVE wasps swarming between my glass doors. They had made it past my screen and the first glass door and they were almost in my room. I should add that I'm terrified of wasps so I screamed for Tiphanie to help me. Together, we killed them all by spraying WD-40, Mr. Clean, and stain remover. One actually got in my room and Tiph decapitated it with a wicker pot holder. I'm pretty sure that this experience is the scariest thing that has happened to me since I have arrived.

Tiph and I have done some exploring by learning how to use taxis. Cabs are so cheap here! The most we have paid is $6 U.S. and that took us across town.  So we found two department stores and a mall. These places include TGI Fridays, Chilis, Starbucks, Coldstone, Baskin Robbins, and McDonalds for food choices.  There really aren't many stores that we recognize which is so much fun because I never know what I'll find. However, I can assure you that my friends are going to be spoiled. :) Also, all of these places have floors of ARCADES!!!! Tiph and I played each other in air hockey and things got so competitive that the puck flew off the table and was lost underneath the ski ball tables. We were laughing so hard as she laid on the floor trying to retrieve it. No luck. We ran. :oP

Also, we learned a lot more about Taichung's sketchy nightlife by just walking around and watching people. Things are a lot different here than they are in the states regarding nightlife. Basically, shopping and eating out are safe to do at night but a pub is really out of the question. If you want to know more about it, email me: jgraebert@yahoo.com

Okay, well I'm starting to get tired, finally. I miss you all....especially you!
Much love,
Jenna
