oh my god...
i'm freaked out, and under the impression that any scientist working with machinery needs to die.
there's a man who believes that A.I. is the only future and that humans need to become machines/cyborgs. he thinks that humans will become obsolete and believes that "hey! if i want infrared vision, i should be able to get infrared vision by combining my cells with machinery blah blah!" he has even gone so far as to take living brain cells from rats and implanted tiny transmitters into them. once the brain cells have matured a bit they are able to somehow connect the brain cells to a robot via wireless transmitting crap thing. >.<; the sensors on the robot are able to sense walls which sends a signal to the brain cells and the disembodied brain cells tell the robot to move away.
there's a scientist who thinks that he's able to make the human brain evolve by giving them some kind of medicine (for memory's sake i'm calling it chemicalX). the chemicalX makes the electronic signals between brain cells more intense and therefore brain can remember better, has more cognitive function, etc. my thing is that he isn't making the human brain evolve persay, he's just giving it a medicine so it behaves differently. like a contraband substance would
