[It's a little past midnight, and she's quiet, watching the snow fall down. She eventually smiles to herself as if there is some kind of secret before setting down a small twig with apple blossoms on the comm.]
Even in sadness, we may find some happiness.

It has been... hard for sleep to come.

Do you want some company?

Se ya.
[She's in the greenhouse, feeding wood to small, makeshift stoves to keep the plants from freezing.
The apple trees have small, white blossoms already. Occasionally a few petals will float down like snowflakes.]

Hi.
[Prydain smiles at the cozier warmth in here, and approaches to put a hand to her shoulder, touch his nose briefly in affection to her hair.]
Reply
You are cold.
[She turns, hand in his.]
Happy name day, Prydain.

Well, I've been outside. It's nice in here.
[Shutting his eyes, he leans his forehead to hers with a private smile.]
It's much better, this time around.

Many thing have become better in this time.
[Her nose touches his, a small smile on her lips as she holds his hands]

[He murmurs in agreement, feeling her breath very softly on his face, close like this. It's suddenly more perfect a midnight than he could have hoped for. Shino's cake and everything, it doesn't matter how all the rest turns out now...]
I've seen you grow. The both of us.
[He can barely remember it now, the time in Discedo before he had a name. And the brief stretch between then and when he first started speaking to Yorda over the communicators...that doesn't feel so far apart now either.]
It'll keep getting better, you'll see.

[Her voice is soft, but she's running over the time they spent together, how their very origins shared parallels and yet both still so different.
Touching her lips to his, she closes her pa;e eyes]
Everyday, you are a better person.

He takes the kiss from her warmly, carefully, more gentle with her than he'll ever be with anyone or anything else.
And there's fierce swelling of pride, a slow blossom of light that spreads from her into him, quieting the shadows and concerns and every external doubt away.
He hopes he never has to lose her. What this world would be, without Yorda in it...
Prydain pull back a little, just far enough to look her face over with wide serious eyes, then a suddenly impish smile, tracing the tips of her ears with cool fingers to see if they twitch]
You're the most important person in my heart. The best person I know. Nobody else makes me so-
[And the silent communicator buzzes in his coat pocket with a new message, probably another stupid thing...he fumbles awkwardly for a moment, intent on chucking it aside so he can have a moment's time alone ( ... )

She doesn't say anything. Once upon a time talking was new and fresh to her and she couldn't keep her mouth shut. But she started to learn a very different sort of language; silence, the language of actions. She learned to listen to words and sounds between things people spoke.
Prydain was so straightforward though, and that gave her such comfort.]
Madil ne ha, si Hundus Wanda...
[She whispers softly against his cheek, hugging him close.
And then there's a familiar sound from communicator. She watches Prydain check it, curious as to what's on it.
Her heart sinks. Namine.
Kind, wonderful Namine who's never hurt anyone caught by one of those monsters.
She straightens without a word, disappearing behind a table laden with pots growing a variety of life. It's a moment before she returns, holding the sword. It's runes pulse and crackle with the same light flooding Yorda's body.]
We hurry.
