(no subject)
I returned to Durham yesterday from Orlando. I was participating in the nerdfest known as the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge, a college bowl type of competition among HBCUs. Sixty-four of them to be exact. We made the playoffs ("Sweet 16") but then lost. These things happen.
Things that also happen: me being stalked, wind preventing us from landing at RDU, landing in Charlotte instead and marooned in the airport for hours and hours, Shaw University saving us from the airport with their bus, the airport not allowing us to take our bags off the plane with us, me being without a toothbrush, comb or hairbrush, and other such items.
All in all, though, it was a fun experience. Next year we're winning. I've already decided.
